SCRUBS - now the Official thread!

Awww, We missed it. I was watching the Barret-Jackson auto auction...

But, thanks for the link

Mikeeee

yuck - just the commercial made me feel icky...don't mind so much what they put on the show at night - but running the commercials during the day???? I guess it would go over kids heads - but still.

Well I didn't until I saw the title to this thread. Now I will be singing it all day with you. DH and I watched it last night after the boys went to bed. I can't wait to show my 8 year old boys the poo song. They are going to roll on the floor laughing.

ok I missed most of it but I did manage to catch somebody I went to college with in a scene- he was the guy in Elliots apartment*I guess playing an annoying boyfriend? I only caught a second of it but managed to see him:cool1: He is a writter on Conan and Sometimes appears in the skits on there too but I have to say very cool to see him in prime time!!! Yeah Brian!!!:cool1: (never will forget the tootsie roll song he did in a college lip sync contest...)

What a great episode! They all had good singing voices too, unless someone was lip-synching! Loved the choreography, especially the production number when the patient first arrived, and they were spinning her gurney around in circles in the middle of the cast! :goodvibes

It was a great episode. I was wondering how they'd incorporate the music when they were showing the commercials - patient psychosis was a great choice. And the homage to all the different musicals of the past was great.

Just another one in the string of many reasons why we  Scrubs. :thumbsup2

My daughter asked if it was the night to show odd things on tv. :lmao:

But she did love the Grease uptake!!

I loved the episode, and now Guy Love is going thru my head.

What do you think the song is about? It is about two heterosexual men being close friends. It doesn't have anything to do with being gay.

The joke is that Turk's wife and JD's female friend are talking about breaking some bad news to the guys, but that since they are guys, they won't take it hard, because guys aren't touchy feely.

Then the guys sing this song about how much they care about each other as friends.

As for the poo song - I can't think of any child who doesn't enjoy talking and singing about poo!

don't get me wrong - I like the show - didn't see it last night though - did you see the commercial they ran all week about "the only guy who has ever been inside of me - while he is holding his fist??? Again, my only problem was the commercial being aired during the day.

This should be the official scrubs thread. I command you to edit your title accordingly.:goodvibes

this is the funniest show on tv.

:rotfl:
this is the funniest show on tv.

Agreed!

Initially, I refused to let DH lure me into watching since "I don't watch hospital shows because I don't want to be reminded of work.":scared:

But I got hooked anyway, and we're working our way through the DVDs for the first 4 seasons, having Scrubs marathons on weekends and holidays!

I was actually bored by the musical episode, but the poo and guy love songs were hilarious!:lmao: DH had already commented a few weeks ago, "They sure talk about poo a lot on this show.":rotfl:

I LOVED last night's episode. Especially Dr. Cox's song/rant.

Is the song "Guy Love" running through my head? Now it is....thanks a lot. No, seriously, thanks a lot!

I needed a good laugh--and I haven't had a good one since seeing JD and Turk's "Guy Love" duet on Scrubs last night. Hilarious, as was the entire eppy. One of the best shows on TV. :happytv:

I was pleasanltly surprised by the episode. Were all of the songs patterned after others, or just some?

On the cat scan song, you would actually sing "When Tomorrow Comes" (from Les Mis) to their song. Another sounded very "Rent"-like. And of course "We go together" from Grease. Dr. Cox's song was a Gilbert & Sullivin-esque patter song. What about about the others?

Loved it. . . but then again, that was no surprise. It'd take a lot for me to not enjoy it. Even the "worst" episodes have me cracking up.

Anyone catch Zach Braff and Donald Faison on Jimmy Kimmel the other night? Hysterical. They even did a shortened performance of "Guy Love" on the show. Hopefully they'll repeat it. The performance is on YouTube, but the entire interview was pretty funny.

Oh and Zach Braff is going to be on Last Call with Carson Daly tonight.

Not sure . . .but all the song were written buy the guys that wrote Avenue Q. There's a clip of them discussing writing this episode on the Scrubs blog.

Oh - and anyone with iTunes, go to the Scrubs page on there and you can download the Guy Love clip for free :thumbsup2 They released it weeks ago (there and YouTube) to start the buzz . . . wish I knew there were so many Scrubs fans here or I would've posted!
