Does anyone know how to remove light scratches in pergo flooring? DH slid a couch on our new pergo flooring without putting something under it :furious: and it lightly scratched the surface. It is not bad, but in the right light you can see it.

Also, does anyone know how to clean it without the smear marks? I tried just water, and I bought a cleaner formulated (or so it says) for pergo. I believe it is by orange glo. It still leaves a smeary look to the floor unless I get down on my hands and knees and polish it dry

Sorry I can't answer your question for you.

We just had a nice new WilsonArt laminate floor put in last week and I'm hoping someone else has the answer for you, so that I can use it in the future too :teeth:

Anybody know :confused3

Sorry, I have no advice about the scratches. Is it the woodfloor looking Pergo. We have that kind and I use my Swiffer and mop with the grain then get a towel and dry with the grain.

I clean our kitchen/dining area with warm water and a small amount of white vinegar. I use the pergo spray once in awhile, but it means getting down on my hands and knees. No small kids at home though to get it very dirty.
My friend has pergo, and if her dh fries bacon, he makes a mess. I guess he mops that area first and "swirls" the grease film all over the rest of the floor. She now uses the pergo brand spray cleaner(Home Depot) on that area with a paper towel and mops the rest.
About the scratch. Home Depot sells a special pencil to color the scratches.

It is the wood floor looking pergo. It is very hard to tell it is not real wood. Everyone that has seen it cannot believe how close to real it looks.

I don't allow bacon to be cooked in my house, can't stand the mess or the smell :crazy2:

I have 2 kids and a puppy, so it gets dirty very quickly. Does the vinegar leave a film? I do use the spray to clean up, but I hate having to get on my hands and knees all the time to get it clean. We have the front door and patio door shining light on the floor so it shows every smear and scratch.

Also, the pencil, is it for pergo floor? Do you know what it is called or which department to find it in?

Thanks for the info :yay:
