Scotchies in Jamaica

We are cruising with a port in Falmouth. We want to get a taxi and go to Scotchies for some jerk chicken. Has anyone ever done this and if so how long did it take you and about how much did the taxi cost you round trip?

We love Scotchies and our kids have never had it so we want them to experience it.

Is that all you want to do? Courtney Taylor tours can also take you to other places and see the land if you are interested. Might be worth it if you wanted to do more than just eat.

You really want to drive from Fal to Ocho just for Scotchies? 40 miles each way in a taxi?{the Scotchies I know is in Ocho Rios ... this is the 'original' ... there IS another in Montego Bay, that one is only 20 miles each way.}

Good Jerk in JA is about as hard to find as a Mickey D's in Orlando .... on every corner!

Suggestion .... get in a taxi in Fal' and ask the driver to take you to their favorite Jerk place and you'll buy lunch ....

I've had some of my best food in the islands using this method.

{Scotchies ain't bad but is not the best Jerk I've had in JA .... not even the best in the Ocho area. My ship's agents would take be to back street places out of downtown that ROCKED ... that's where I learned the taxi trick}
