Scooter rentals in Key West

I lost the link that DW sent me to a previous thread on this: what recommendations do people have for vendors for scooter rentals on Key West? How much are the rentals? Can you park the scooters if you want to stop some place? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi doc - this is shirley - I have a great deal of free pamplets that I offer anyone that want them and there are no strings attached to the offer - it has scooters, electric cars, just about a whole bunch of things to do while there - I recommend Moped Hospital simply due to the fact my husband's son Charlie works there and does a great job dealing with the cruisers - he is honest and fair - I also have information on them and others - if you would like, you are most welcomed to write me at snelsonbrown@aol.com or you can mail a manilla envelope (big) self addressed with about $3.50 worth of stamps on the envelope - I am sure the hundreds that I have sent to cruisers will agree that it really did help them - again please understand the only interest I have in doing this, is that while cruisers are in my hometown that they are most aware of the good and the bad - I also advise cruisers to concern themselves with the tee shirt shop vendors that are closes to mallory Square - I am an old conch and I got rip off pretty good -

I just got your packet a couple days ago--I found it fascinating and informative. Just wanted to get a recommendation and some idea of prices (that didn't seem to be anywhere I could find it in the materials or, for the most part, on the web). Thanks again for the kind service provided. I recommend other cruisers take you up on the generous offer.

Hi Dr.
Sorry I send so many out that sometimes I open mouth insert foot - The one place that I found that "promised" a 20% discount was Key West Cruisers - they offered to give me the 20% for everyone that I sent them, but I had asked that instead it be passed down to the cruisers - from what I understand one of the cruisers did approach them and they did NOT stand by their word BUT their excuse was that they did not have a business card from me - I will be going down again next month and will check again with them as to their "given" word - also I understand there are scooter rentals around Mallory Square BUT I do not know their prices or if their prices remain the same as different folks approach them - it has been my understanding - charges were "flexible" - I do know that out on Roosevelt Blvd, prices are very very reasonable - Key West being such a high tourist town and Duval Street being the "hot" place, cost for everything will be high - most of the locals do not go into that part of town, but do business with shops up and down Roosevelt Blvd.
Anyhow will post more when I get back from there.
