I am renting a scooter off site for the first time next week. If we use our car to go to the parks instead of the buses, is there a best way to do this. I am wondering about my family if we are a long way out, do I send them on the tram and drive the scooter to the park entrance? Or can you tell the parking attendant that you have a scooter and park closer?

Tell the parking lot attendant that you have a scooter but no handicap parking card. Ask if there is someplace up-close to accommodate the scooter. In MK parking lot, the attendant should direct you to the area of handicap parking and AAA parking. There are spots in there for regular parking. Don't park in a marked handicap spot, Orange County Sheriffs regularly patrol and do write expensive tickets. I understand, also, that in the regular parking lot, there are spots you could be directed to. The important thing is that you stop and ask the attendant. They should be helpful to you. I shudder to think of a scooter crossing many, many rows of parking. IMO, that is unsafe for the scooter driver, especially after dark.

The handicapped parking spots are marked with either blue paint or handicapped parking signs marked with a wheelchair symbol.

There are other parking spots in the same lot which are unmarked.
