Scissors allowed in parks??

I saw someone in front of me last December have scissors conviscated on bag check. So my guess is they are not allowed.

Kay!!! :lmao: Too funny.

I got some $1 ones today... if they go, they go. Just got the rounded kid ones... I may pack them so they are less obvious, but I won't truly hide them. :) I promise to keep them to myself if I can bring them through and not threaten ANYONE even when getting those TSM FPs!!! LOL.

But what kind of scissors?

I took kids blunt Fischer with no problem, though I'm not sure if they saw them or not.

I would cut a few basic pieces before going to the parks, and go to the first aid station if you need more cut. They are wonderful there. They have assited me with feet issues in the past. Once I needed clippers for a toe nail problem I developed, and also to use scissors for moleskin. No charge for those services (at that time), and no wait.

Me, I'd rather use my rounded child scissors from my backpack (no issue at airport, or WDW security) then go searching for the First Aid station.

this is also why I carry band aids and the like. I'm not going to waste time going to first aid for a little cut.

I'm pretty sure they make pre cut moleskin for feet as well...maybe something to look into.

Real men and women use duct tape.

I have a small bottle I use for sun lotion. I refill it daily from a big bottle. I also have wrapped duct tape around the bottle. I remember being in line for Spaceship Earth and seeing that my niece was getting blisters. Being a polite little girl, she hadn't wanted to say anything-aaww!

I just tore off a few inches of duct tape from my bottle and slapped them on her heels. As good as a bandage, and I could use it for other things too, like...well, I can't think of anything right now. :)

:thumbsup2

And it sticks better than moleskin. Moleskin will eventually slip, duct tape will not.

Seriously? :confused3

Doesn't it hurt? The duct tape? I'm a pretty big fan of moleskin, but yeah, that stuff eventually slips. I use duct tape all the time - I've just never stuck it on myself on purpose.

If you take it off in the shower, a bit slowly, it really is not that bad.

hmmm... Okay. But what if the blister was bloody? Do you just stick that stuff right on top? Or over a bandaide? I might be sold on this idea, because I know how well duct tape sticks. Then again, that's what I'm afraid of - the duct tape sticking! ;)

I bring moleskin when I'm at the parks and I just ask at the shops if I can borrow a pair of scissors to cut some moleskin. Not once was I turned away. I've also been able to get moleskin from the first aid station. I really can't see why you would need to carry scissors into the park when all the stores have them behind the counter.

We always just precut a few different circles and ovals of moleskin and keep them in a snack sized ziplock. Comes in handy

Well, you don't want to use anything like tape, moleskin, etc on the affected area if you already have a blister. The idea is to use it BEFORE you even start getting blisters. Blisters are caused by rubbing/chafing....so if you don't have any rubbing, you will not get a blister.

If you already have a blister, the best thing you can do is put a regular band-aid over the blister and then use padded moleskin AROUND the area where the blister is (for padding and then cover the whole area with something that will make it stay - like duct tape.

I get blisters real easy and seldom have issues. Unless I have to wear pants, I only wear Yellow Box or Reef flip-flops in Disney. If I wear pants, I follow the guidelines above. :thumbsup2

edward scissorhands was at the halloween party the other night, but i guess he could be an exception :confused3
