My dd is having troubles finding some usable information about atoms and some scientists. Do any of you know of a website that could help?

I like Ask Jeeves. I have used it a few times for answers and information.

This is Kelsea. Nothings helping! I've looked everywhere and nothing has the answer. I don't want to get lunch detention!

Post the questions here and we'll see if someone can help. DH and I have Engineering Degrees and might know some answers...

I'm a science major in college, so if you posted the questions I could look them up for you in my books. Or atleast direct you to website that would help!

Be careful with Wikipedia, it's not always accurate; all the information is submitted by the users. Any bad information gets posted until refuted by another user.

KY: Well I have to identify the models of four atoms. Then explain how John Dalton, William Crookes, J.J. Thomas, Ernest Rutherford, and some greek philosopthers added to our knowledge of the atom.

are you identifying atoms or molecules? atoms are identified based on the number of electrons. So you if you count up how many electrons (the little things circling the nucleus) and put that in to google it should help you identify the atom.

This is Laurie again, thank you all. I appreciate you helping. She finished the assignment. She had forgotten her science book at school.

Thanks again
