Sci-Fi Star Wars Character Breakfast Question

My family has the Dining Plan with 1 Table Service, 1 Quick Service per day.

When I was able to start making my ADRs I got one for our family to have breakfast at the Sci-Fi Star Wars Character Breakfast. Then I realized we don't have the Dining Plan that covers that.

Are we still able to attend this but pay out of pocket? Any idea how much this will cost? I'm totally new to ADRs and Table Service as we've only done the Dining Plan once 4 years ago and it was only for Quick Service.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

You can use 2 tabel service credits at once on that plan- we do it all the time. You get all the credits at once-so 7 TS and 7 QS and 7 snacks per person if you are staying 7 nights, for example. When you go into the restaurant, you tell them you want to use the dining plan, or you can just pay out of pocket- it is your choice. You use the credits you have in any order you want, including 2 at once for a 2 credit meal.

I would go to allears and see if they have the menu/prices posted. There is also a SWW thread here on the boards that may have that info as well- it is pretty thorough and the people on there could probably tell you if it is not already posted. You could compare your other reservations to the price of the breakfast and see which would be most beneficial to pay out of pocket. Typically, we do the Ohana breakfast or the CP buffet out of pocket- they tend to be less expensive.

You can either use dining credits (the breakfast will require 2 Table Service credits per person) or pay out of pocket for any meals you choose.

When you check in to the resort your Disney Dining Plan (DDP) will be activated and all the credits for your entire stay will be available to use. It is based on the number of NIGHTS (not days) that you will be staying. You will receive 1 Table Service credit, 1 Quick Service credit and 1 Snack credit per night per person. You will also receive 1 mug per person that can be refilled at any resort.

If you have more TS scheduled than credits available, you can look at the menus on allears, wdwinfo or the Disney website to determine which ones would be best to pay out of pocket. The dining plan costs $60.64 per night per adult so the credits are valued at about $38.50 per TS credit, $17.50 per QS credit and $4.50 per snack credit.

Often it is better to pay for 2 credit meals out of pocket because the value of 2 TS credits is approx $77.00 - far more than the actual cost of the Star Wars breakfast.

If you need to pay OOP for some meals take a look at menus to figure out what you would order to see which would be best to pay OOP. The price of the dining plan per night includes tax, menus do not.

It's worth it whether you spend the 2 credits or pay OOP. The characters were great, and the food was really good! Hope you have a great time!!

Unfortunately, no discounts can be applied to this or the SW dinner buffet at Hollywood and Vine. :-(
