Sci-Fi Reservation for 7

At Sci Fi it is imperative that you at least like your dining party. We've eaten here quite a bit, usually with a party of 6, though as I mentioned we did dine here with 7 once. I think the seating is close but not tight, and we're overall a big family. I'm 6' 190lbs. I usually sit with my sister who is 5'9 250lbs, and I've never been uncomfortable. That feeling would change if it wasn't family. We generally do a lot of turning around to talk to those sitting behind us, and there is room enough to do this without getting an elbow in the face.

Another person would certainly not fit on the same bench with us, but the one time we had 7, my 5'4 108 lb mother sat with my then 8 yo nephew and 9 yo niece (who was big for her age), and there was space between them.

That is extremely rare honestly. Generally parties of 7 or more are put into cars that are either next to each other or 1 in front of the other

I don't know if it's rare or not. I don't know any way to verify that.

We booked via phone because we were a bigger party so all would be noted properly on confirmation.

Disney has always stressed larger parties may not be seated together.

I am sure they would try but I would not promise something that can not be guaranteed.
