Sci-Fi on DDP - questions

Is this place more likely to be fun or scary for little ones - like ages 4 & 6?
Has anyone shared here while on the DDP?
Do they allow your drinks to be shakes?

And most importantly, does anyone have any pictures?

My kids DD3 and DS8 LOVE Sci-Fi it is a must do for our family. The kids were not scared at all in fact they thought is was very cool! I'm not sure about sharing, as we did not do that. Hope ya'll have a great time!!!

It was not scary for our dd (5). I'm always amazed at how quiet it is. We've never shared. They let you get milkshakes as your dessert or your drink. We got them as our drink and they brought us water with it (dd got bottled water - waitress said they did that for kids).

Some of the posts that I've read about Sci-Fi (as well as UG) have been pretty uncomplimentary. So we've never tried it. I'd be really interested in hearing some reviews on it (I tried to go to the "review" threads but there is so much to go thru, trying to find just one single restaurant!). Can we just go for a hot fudge sundae???

Yes you can get shakes at sci fi with DDP

We were told the children would have to use their dessert for the shake, if they wanted one.

The 4 yr olds were fine with the TV clips. They enjoyed eating in the car.

When we were there in August we all had shakes Ds had a kid size as oppose to our but he still had one and no snack credit was used and all were happy! Maybe this is another case of CM's with bad info . The only thing that was ever limited for Kids while we were there were snacks not many choices only like 3.

Sci-Fi is one of our favorites! But, we've always paid OOP. Sorry, I can't help with DDP advice. BUT, I'll be doing a review soon. I'll post a link here when I finish it. We love it, so the review will not be a negative one.

Our experience at Sci Fi was not a good one.
First we waited forever with a reservation and they seated us right by the kitchen and the food was really bad.
The atmosphere did not make up for everything else.
I had read bad reviews about it but wanted to try it for myself, which I will not do again.

I for sure would not waste my dining credit on it...this is just my opinion and I know others love it, so like us you will have to give it a try and decide for yourselves......
we were 4 adults no kids which might make a difference for the fun but not the food...just not worth the $$$$$ to me.

We went to Sci Fi for the first time last June. We liked it enough that we are going back in May!!!

DBF ordered the steak (no longer on the menu!) and it was so tender and yummy. I ordered chicken that I don't remember. Not their fault. I had the stomach flu so I don't remember much. The atmosphere is fun and the food was yummy. They were so wonderful too. I wrote down the wrong time for our ADR, we showed up an hour late. They squeezed us in within 20 minutes. I highly suggest you try eating there. Just don't go expecting gourmet food and you will be fine.

I have eaten at Sci-Fi twice and liked it both times. As posted before, this is not a gourmet meal. I would say it is restaurant quality, drive in food. The old movie clips are a stitch. I think it is a good dining experience, as long as you are looking for a unique atmosphere along with good food. If you want a gourmet meal, I would suggest going elsewhere.

We go to Sci-fi every trip and always enjoy it. OUr kids have been all different ages and none of them have ever been afraid at all. We were also able to get shakes as our drinks as well.
