Sci-Fi Dine In Theater Opinions PLEASE

best milkshakes in the whole resort I always make it a point to stop here and have a cheeseburger and a chocolate shake

We're just back. I loved the atmosphere in this place. Cars and Sci-fi clips are great! Shakes are very creamy and good. If we ever go back to the Sci-Fi Diner, I will take the advice I read here months ago and just order dessert. The cheeseburger was fair, a little undercooked, and something I would not order again. The others in my party said the same of their meals (smoked turkey sandwich, hot dog, and something else). Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. Also, I think if you are "parked" on the end row next the entrance, you don't get the full effect of being part of the action... or at least I didn't. Still, the theming is awesome and I would love to go back for a sundae!

We ate there Mon. 12/2 for lunch. DH and DS5 sat in front while DD2 and I sat behind them. We used a lunch voucher for DH and me. He had the steak and shake and I had the artichoke dip and apple dessert. DH liked the stake, I was wondering if he would because I had read to go simple. Shake was wonderful and so was my dip. Apple dessert was fine (shake was better) Kids had pasta and fries, they were very happy.

I will probably get flamed for this

but I personally love the place. However this is based on the fact that I am not an incredibly picky eater and I've never had to bring small children with. I agree with a few others that it could be a problem if you have two small children because the cars seat two per seat or four per car (some cars are bigger I thought?) Anyways, what I liked about it was that the atmosphere of the place is different than about anything you'll see and for that I go. It does really depend on how picky of an eater you are (their food is ok, milkshakes are yummy) and if you have small kids.

Well, niks81, I have to say I do not agree with you on the Sci-fi Diner food being enjoyable if you are not a picky eater. I actually like the burgers at Captain Cooks, the Electric Umbrella, and other counter service restaurants, but the burger at Sci-Fi was not good at all to me. It was a little undercooked and did not taste good. I did not finish it. I made a point of asking the others in my party how their meals were at each restaurant and Sci-Fi was a unanimous thumbs down for food quality. I would bet it varies day to day though, after reading these posts. That said, I really did enjoy my time there and would LOVE to go back for dessert only.
