that tentacle thing is genuinely creepy.

In the first episode we had these flashes of the aliens attacking the ship's crew members, but it had not happened yet. I was wondering if those men in suits are a similar thing... they seem to be a bit "disconnected" like a visual hallucination

That would make sense, especially as Nibbs (or was it Wendy?) saw them in her weird trance state.

Anyone else find the baby xenomorph a bit odd in the latest episode? Seemed a bit too snake like...

Let me just first say to TV producers, STOP with the entire epidose flashbacks! It really kills the momentum to have an entire week without checking in on the main characters. It's really become a pet peeve of mine. It can work on shows that drop all at once because you are binging them, but this week we get nothing about the kids. Is she really pregnant? Why does she think she is? Is the Boy Genius really a creeper? Okay, well, obviously we know that he is!

That said, it was still a good episode. It was like a love-letter to Alien. I understand why it couldn't be first, because it reveals too much, and there were some BIG things in there! The most shocking of which was who knew the eyeball would turn out to be a good guy?

I am confused by eyetopus..... and do not think it is really 'friendly" to the humans..... but it does seem to have its favorites with the ladies. It is def. my new favorite alien.

I think it really is in direct competition with the xenomorph. Was doing a little digging and there are some theories that they are from the same planet and the xenomorph do not have eyes really as a result of this eyetopus species' predation. It did not kill Zevari, but it attacked her when it was in Shmeul and rendered her unconscious. Then went for the xenomorph. Why did it do that, did it want an upgrade body? But that was not a friendly act, unlike when it seemed like it was warning Chibuzo about the ticks.

Also we have not seen what it "eats".... some theories are that it feeds on intelligence... which brings us to the fact that it attacked Nibs.... so far it is one of the only aliens to show a real interest in the synths, perhaps as it recognizes their intelligence potential... I want to see it in Boy Kav's face LOL.... he is such a slimer. [/SPOILER

it really does, so that was interesting, it had no hesitation about starting something with it.... it was kinda cool seeing it in Shmuel I loved the tentacle sneaking down to make the smile/sneer

Although I know you disliked the flashback type episode, I enjoyed it, even though I knew how it ended it changed my view of things, I was a tad sympathetic for Boy Kav when the ship crashed in his lands, but now knowing he orchestrated it.... I cannot wait for him to host one of his new friends.

I really loved this last episode. Yes it wasn't ideal to break away from the main story but after the opening scenes of the entire series, we needed to find out what happened on that ship. And it was super creepy.

For me it reinforced how much of a moron Boy Kav is to orchestrate a crash without any thought to the final outcome. I really cannot wait to see him get his comeuppance.
