I know, I know... these two restaurants gets very mixed reviews, but I went ahead and got PS for them both---mostly for the kids, I know they are going to LOVE the atmosphere at both of these places. Okay, what are 'safe' things to order? I mean can they really mess up a hamburger? What about the seven bean chili at Sci-Fi--sounds good--is it?

Also, if DH and I did order the burger do they get upset if you just want them to bring an extra plate so you can share it??? I made the dinner and fantasmic show ressies for that night so I don't want to eat much at lunch at Sci-Fi. Oh yea, one more question---is the rueben sandwich any good?

Also any suggestions as to what is really good at Rainforest cafe would be helpful as well.

Don't know when you are going, but we have PS for these two restaurants March 26 and 27. Will post reviews when we return. Gailelle

We ate at Sci Fi for lunch, and we all got cheeseburger and fries. I thought they were good and have no complaints. My kids LOVED eating in the cars.

At RC, I really enjoy the pasta. I can't remember the name. It is like pasta penne with little pieces of sausage in it. It isn't the Rasta Pasta, though. Dh really likes the crab cakes sandwich. The kids usually get the pizza. I had the ribs there once and even though they were pricey, they were good!! We will be going there on our upcoming trip.

I had a turkey wrap at RFC that I thought was very good. I also had a cheeseburger on another trip that was quite large and tasty! My mom had a Chinese Chicken Salad that she said was very good.

I have eaten at the RFC alot and they have several yummy items. I like the Rasta Pasta and the bbq chicken wrap best.

My experience at Sci Fi a few years back was less impressive. The food was mediocre at best but it was fun looking.

My boys LOVED Sci-Fi!! I had the chili which was really good and the salad(forget the name)with the spiced walnuts and that was really good too! Everyone else had burgers and were happy with them. Oh the onion rings were good too!

Everytime I eat at Rainforest(at DL though)I always get the warm crab dip (yum) and try different entrees/salads. I did reallllyy like the crab cakes too(do you see a trend here?)

DH and I ordered a burger to split at sci-fi this past december. No problem at all. I actually got a small caesar salad also which was pretty good! I like sci fi because it is cool and sort of quiet (in a loud sort of way) inside!

Milkshakes are DELICIOUS!!!!

At the RFC Jambalaya pasta (a little spicy) and the Paradise Pot Roast are our famiilies choices.

Eh, I didn't love the chili at Sci Fi, but maybe I'm just weird...

RFC-TONS of great options! I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Tuscan Chicken, it was AWESOME, and their BBQ pizza was good, as was the pepperoni, but SPLIT THEM! They're HUGE! Dad went wandering around the restaurant to get an idea of the size, but accidently saw a child's pizza, so he thought they were small enough for us to each need one...Luckily our hotel had a microfridge!!

Thanks again guys!!! You all are SO helpful! :D The pastas and crab cakes at RFC sound good and I was wondering about that salad at Sci-Fi, it sounded really good, I just might have to give that a try. I'll let my DH and DS share a milkshake and I'll sneak a drink or two! ;)

WE went to Sci-Fi 1 1/2 years ago, we all got the roasted chicken which was good and DS's sat there and cleaned their plates. We thought it was good and wanted to go there this last rip, but couldn't fit it in.

The one thing I will say I did not like at RFC was the maine stuffed lobster.

My son LOVES the Paradise Pot Roast at the RFC. I like the turkey wrap and the chicken ceasar salad (it's huge!).

I had the turkey wrap at RFC and it was delicious. DH had the buffalo chicken salad and it was just OK, not much buffalo sauce on the chicken. The volcano dessert is a must try! It was SO good!

At Sci Fi we all had cheeseburgers and fries and we split an order of onion rings...they were all really good! I ordered a Coke thinking I would just finish up the boys' milkshakes as they never finish anything. Well...they did finish them and I wished I had ordered one. I snuck a sip of DS's and it was very good! The boys loved eating in the cars, so did DH for that matter...LOL

We will go back to both Sci Fi and RFC.

You can split a burger at Sci Fi, or do what I did -- order an appetizer as a meal. The portions at some of these restaurants are absurd (very huge). I recall that my son ordered the Mickey Pasta (kid's sized pasta dish) at Sci-Fi and easily 3 kids could have eaten off this plate. They boxed up the left-overs, but now what pray tell are we gonna do with a styrofoam box of tomatoey pasta for 7 or 8 more hours in the parks? Same goes for dh's shrimp penne pasta -- it was a LOT of food. So last time, I ordered a small salad and the spring rolls. I got a milkshake as my dessert at the end. I was the only one who came out looking comfortable!

As for Rainforest -- I have enjoyed their food. Sandwiches are good. I got some sort of chicken dish last time. Good -- but again, lotsa food. It was a dinner menu item. A friend got their seafood combo platter -- looked really good! Ironically, what I wanted to order (a different pasta dish -- its name escapes me now, sadly) the waiter told me NOT TO... he was really emphatic, said, no, you really DON'T want that! Yes, I really do... I responded. SO he then asked me "What other choices do you have -- what else interested you?" I let the sucker talk me into a different dish, which turned out fine, but... now my curiosity has the better of me and I want to know what I missed! I think it was a pasta dish with asian fliar -- I recall veggies, chicken and soy sauce for some reason. If anyone knows which one that is -- and if you've had it - was the waiter right?!?

Our family loves RFC and we make a point to eat there every visit. We prefer the one in DTD, it is so similar to AK but we feel the atmosphere is nicer at DTD. We all have our favorite dishes here and rarely order anything else. I love the Mogambo Shrimp and DH always orders Mojo Bones. Kids are always entertained and enjoy the atmosphere and food. Yummy desserts too!
