Well I'm guessing that one person's arguement against yours would be "It suppresses individuality" and I say...on contraire mon fraire! (i have no idea how to spell that...it means "on the contrary, my friend!")
Uniforms allow for a bit of individuality when you notice how one person wears a different tie every day. A girl's hairstyles express her individuality. We are able to note the subtle details of a person and infer personality traits that make him or her who they are (shiny black shoes vs. plain black shoes). It makes the students more detail-oriented, careful observers, and more creative, which translates through to their school work and their lives.
I'm am kind of in the middle with uniforms. On one hand, I can see where it would cut down bullying and fights, but on the other hand, as a student, I would hate to wear the same outfit everyday.
