School Christmas holidays

When do your kids go back to school after Christmas holidays this year ?

Our kids don't go back until January 9th!....so we thought we might change our plans and go earlier....NOTE - we hate crowds...but if all schools go back at that time, the parks may be busier. Any thoughts?

Their last day is December 16th and they go back on January 2nd. We are in North Carolina.

Our kids don't go back to school until Jan 9th, also. I think there was a thread about 5 months ago asking this and most schools go back on Jan 2.

We went to WDW the first week of January this year (2005). We were lucky with the weather (80's the whole week). The crowds were non-existent. And the EMH evenings made you feel like you had the parks to yourself!

We're in Billerica, Mass and the kids get out on 12/23 and go back to school Jan 3.

They get out Dec. 23 and go back on January 2.
