Where do you get School Bread? Is it in Epcot? I have seen a couple of photos and it looks to die. I want some when we go in October.

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND IT!!

I had it last week in Norway in Epcot, I thought it was amazing

Norway bakery in Epcot, yum!

Thank you very much - I just added that to my trip notes :goodvibes

I had to try it on our trip in February after reading so much about it here. I got one on the last day of our trip and ate it in the Orlando airport. It tasted good at the time but thinking about it now makes me feel kinda queasy. Though it's probably due to the fact that it was our last day on the DDP and I think it took me about a week to feel hungry again!

I LOVE school bread from Norway! yummmy!

DH and I have tried it and found it very bland. I thought it would have been very sweet and sugary but nope just a plain boston creme filling inside with coconut on top. Even the little topping was bland. Figured I give my take on it since so many people rave about it.

it is wonderful!

i get 2 and scoop out the custard with a spoon!

(the donut itself is blah, like a cross between a roll and a donut)

DH always wonders why a Norwegian pastry has coconut on it!

I love these things. They are not as sweet as you think. As a PP mentioned, the dough is a cross btw a sweet dough and bread type. Which is a nice contrast to the sweet filling and sugary top.

The filling is a cross btw custard and a cream filling. I forgot to get one one trip. How do you forget schoolbread???:confused3 but i did.

Not making that mistake again!

Kringola Bakery in Norway. These are soooo good! Custard filling with icing and coconut on top. Big enough for two people to split and they'll put it in a box if you ask so that you can take it back to your resort.

And that is exactly what we did! :)

It was pretty big and I thought it was very sweet.

:thumbsup2

I did the same thing this past March. I had to try it due to all the great reviews on the board, and it didn't disappoint me at all. I took it back to the resort and ate it the next morning for breakfast. I thought it tasted like a cinnamon bun the bread part only. My DH and DD like it very much but the 2 boys didn't. They also don't like coconut. It is now a food item I must have on every trip:thumbsup2

I have always heard people talking about it and never knew what it was. My DH asked me the other day and I told him I had been reading reviews on it lately. However, when I told him it was covered in coconut...he turned green. Neither one of us like coconut, so I guess we'll be passing on this treat.

My favorite treat in Disney World! My sister and I get the school bread and one of the sweet pretzels before Illuminations and split them.

I am definitely going to have school bread for my Illuminations treat this time around....hmmm, I wonder how that'll taste with my Grand Marnier Slushie?!

I thought it was meh...I felt the same way about the lefse in Norway as well.

Not so sure about that combination. It tasted fine with my drink, I can't remember the name of it though. It was the other slush that's available from the same place.

I was soooo looking forward to this...

I love custard and creme filled donuts, so I thought this would be it for me...

It really had no flavor at all, not sweet, not savory...Just bleh.:confused3

I just didn't get it?:confused3

Now, I do love the sweet almond pretzel there!!!!!!:worship:

We had it last night and maybe tonight too!
