School Bread - Who has tried it?

I thought it was meh...I felt the same way about the lefse in Norway as well.

I thought the same thing about both.
DH also had higher expectations about how much he would enjoy Norway's treats.

OMG I can't wait! I'm heading to WDW solo next month & I plan to snack my way around the world! Anyone giong 5/6 or 5/7 that wants to meet me to split a school bread?!?!?

We'll have to try that in November when we go. It looks fantastic! DW is drooling at the computer.

My grandparents are Norwegian. I'll have to ask grandma if she can give a good recipe for some.

This is my most favorite treat as Disney, I can never get enough of them!

I was soooo looking forward to this...

I love custard and creme filled donuts, so I thought this would be it for me...

It really had no flavor at all, not sweet, not savory...Just bleh.:confused3

I just didn't get it?:confused3

Now, I do love the sweet almond pretzel there!!!!!!:worship:

Not sweet???? Did they forget to put the sugary icing that holds the coconut? It is one of our favorites at Epcot, but takes a second place to the napoleon at the bakery in "France". :goodvibes

Ohhh, nooooo!!! Did you try the lefse with butter and brown sugar on it??? That's the way it's meant to be eaten. Ah, well, if you don't like it I guess I'll just eat your portion, too. :rotfl: :rotfl:

As for schoolbread...we went to the bakery, took one look at how big it was and decided to save it for a full meal on our next trip!

the Grand Marnier Slushy is at a kiosk in France across the street from the main restaurant. That is also the home of the Grey Goose Citron Slushy - my personal favorite - yummy!

I think we decided on another thread that the Grey Goose is great in the daytime (with the heat and all) and the Grand Marnier is a good night time drink. :worship:

ya know after looking at that photo closely, I really don't remember the icing. Maybe I didn't get any?:confused3

Oh the Grey Goose Citron Slushy, that's the one I couldn't remember the name of. My second fav, behind the mango margarita.

Love the school bread, and also love the rice cream from the bakery.

BTW . . . if you're wondering what to drink with it, anything goes good with something from the margarita stand!
