Scents removed from soarin?

Disney could make money selling their scents in the forms of perfumes or candles. Who wouldn't buy Soarin' Oranges, Burning Rome, Boat Ride, or Main Street Bakery scents?

cosign!!!! I would buy all of those!! Even stinky it's a small world water smell! :thumbsup2

I went in mid august and was looking forward to the scents...which I did not smell! It is my favorite part (especially the oranges) but did not smell a thing! It may just depend on when you ride or what position you are in

How many are there supposed to be? I've only been on it a few times and all I can remember is the orange scent and the trees...are there more I've missed?

Pine, ocean, orange, and I think there is something during the desert scene, but it is very subtle.

maybe if someone asks ahead of time they shut them off for that round? Kinda annoying though that that many other people lose out. What if it's their first and only time riding and they will never know the awesomeness of smelling the soarin smells!!

I'm sure that, like any ride mechanism,it works better on some days than others.

I'm one of the most perfume-sensitive people I know, and the scents on Soarin' don't trigger a reaction for me at all. I think it's because they're diffused over such a large area.

Main St. Bakery smells like Starbucks now, or it did two weeks ago. No thanks. The rest, yeah.

Rode this twice today (once in Concourse 1 and once in Concourse 2). All the "Soarin'" scents were there (and fabulous)!

Good to know. It wouldn't be the same without the scents.

When we were there in May we rode it twice, once we smelled stuff and once we didn't.

I don't mean to come across as a jerk, but the rides for me are a big part of it. I think if you have a sensitivity to fragrance than you shouldn't ride it. Why complain and ruin it for others.

If I have a dairy allergy Im not going to walk into an ice cream shop and complain and tell them they should only carry/sell lactose tolerant ice cream.

NO truer words were ever spoken!!! I think there used to be a thread on the DIS that reported what candle scents smelled like Disney scents. Wish I knew where it was--I'd post the link, but I can't find it.

There are scents on Soarin? Cool. I didn't know that. Maybe I had a stuffed nose when I rode it back in 2010. I'll make sure I take my allergy pills on the days we go to Epcot in November so my nose is free and clear.

I've never smelled them either, I'm always looking at the ground repeating "don't get sick, don't get sick" LOL. Someone told me about the candle at Bath & Body Works that smells like Soarin and I had to look it up, because I've never noticed any smells on that ride. I smell the apple pie on Philharmagic though?

The other scent is the "ocean breeze" scent.:)

There can also be the "BO Scent" coming from other passengers on your flight on hot, humid Summer days.;):)

And stinky feet too! I always get seated near someone who takes off shoes (and you don't need to, only flip flops and other slip-ons need to be removed) and kills the air with the worst foot smell. At first, I thought it was my husband, but he didn't go on two of the trips. Then I thought it was me! But I wear sandals that don't need to be taken off? I did smell my feet to see if they were stinky, but they weren't. I just have bad luck I guess?

So which candle is it???

Forget it . . . found the thread. I know its Off Topic, but for anyone interested:

There was someone on here that makes those candle tarts and she has a whole list of scents from the parks. I literally died when she listed them all. I told her to send me a site link for ordering but she never did. Now I don't know who it was, what thread it was in, etc.

I would literally buy them all. Hopefully she will see this and post in here.

Wow, I've never seen a ghost post! :rotfl:
