My sisters neighbor just got back and said they took the scents out of soarin due to people complaining about allergies. Is this true? When did I miss this?
Her neighbor must be confused. It was her first time going and maybe it wasn't working that day or something. Whew I was worried. That's my favorite part!
Hmmm....I was on Soarin a few days ago and I didn't notice the scents either, but I never thought about it until I read this thread so I could have just missed it.
There are scents on Soarin? Cool. I didn't know that. Maybe I had a stuffed nose when I rode it back in 2010. I'll make sure I take my allergy pills on the days we go to Epcot in November so my nose is free and clear.
How many are there supposed to be? I've only been on it a few times and all I can remember is the orange scent and the trees...are there more I've missed?

There are still scents, but I don't think they are maintaining them as well as they should be. I rode it 3 times in one day, and one of those times we didn't get the scent of evergreen, but it was fine otherwise.
I'm so glad! That's my favorite part of the ride Every now and again, we'll smell some sort of fragrance in a store or out and about and all turn to one another and say, "It smells like Soarin'!"
Disney could make money selling their scents in the forms of perfumes or candles. Who wouldn't buy Soarin' Oranges, Burning Rome, Boat Ride, or Main Street Bakery scents?
