Do you have any suggestions for treatment for minimizing scars? Thanks!

Hi Cinmell,

I've always used Vitamin E capsules.

Break open and rub the oil over the scar.

Depending on what caused the scar depends on how long before it goes away.

My son was hit by a car when he was 3 and had 32 stitches in his forehead. I used Mederma for about 6 months after the accident and still put some on it occasionally. He is 7 now and you can barely see the scar although it is more noticeable when he is overheated.

TFMont, I've never heard of Mederma. Can you get it at any drugstore? Thanks for the replies!

I think you have to ask the pharmacist for Mederma. It's behind the counter, but you don't need a prescription.
