Does anyone have a scanner recommendation for scanning prints? Looking to keep it under $200.

Mmmm.. looked up the v500 and they also list a v600 for less than $40 more. Should I assume the 600 is upgrade from the 500 and go with that?

I believe thats correct. For $40 I would say go for it. :thumbsup2

The V600 is a newer model. Nearly identical spec wise to the V500. I didn't realize it was under $200 now. Last time I looked it was priced about $230 and you said you wanted to keep it under $200.

The difference between the V500 and V600 is small, I can't even remember what it is nor is the difference easily found on Epson's website. One site mentions that the V500 scans one MF negative at a time while the V600 scans 3.
I bought the V600. Btw, scanning at 300 dpi is widely considered to be the optimum for scanning prints, less will not get all the information, more is just wasting space.
