Disney is pleased to announce a new and greatly improved customer experience at Soarin - the SB+ Standby Line!

For those of you who enjoy the current FP+ system, there is no change.

For those without FP+, when you arrive at Soarin you will receive a Standby Return Ticket (known as SB+) with a return window. Now you can go shop and purchase souvenirs at your leisure and return with 30 minutes or less wait in the Standby Line, so you can quickly experience this wonderful ride and return to shopping. For our experienced guests, this may remind you of our very successful Classic Fastpass system.

So what's new today?

We know from our test that once the SB+ passes ran out, many people showed up and found the ride closed to them for the day (not even SB+ available), with the resulting disappointment. We hear you! We now have a new line, the Standby Standby line. If you think we may decide to reopen the standby line for the ride, as we were forced to the first day we tried the SB+ system, you can join the Standby Standby line (we will call it SB+ Standby Line), and if we are able to reopen the standby line you'll be there and ready to go! If we are unable to reopen the line, we will notify you by 8:45 pm and dismiss the line so you will be able to visit our shops and purchase more souvenirs before exiting the park.

When we reopen the classic standby line, all FP+ and SB+ holders will be able to use the FP line, and your time in the SB+ Standby Line will be rewarded by exclusive admission to the standby line.

Magic YOUR way: FP+, SB+, and SB+ Standby. Now you get to choose, and you can always join some line for this amazing attraction, with plenty of time available for shopping.

Is this going to be implemented for most big ticket rides? Or is it just for Soarin?

Good work, OP. Sounds like something Disney would put out!

I haven't been keeping up with the other threads on this topic, but is there any word how long the SB+ tickets have been lasting? For instance, do they go quickly at rope drop or are there still some available around lunch time like there would have been under the paper FP system?

We will be in Epcot on Monday. Plan to go to Soarin' first. Have TT FP+ for later in the morning. We'll see how this plays out then, I guess.

Will we soon be able to reserve a spot in the SB+ Standby using the MDE app? Seems like the next 'logical' step!

For a reasonable fee. They now charge $25 per FP+ for the VIP ride experience, so perhaps the SB+ Standby line will be $5 or less.

Nicely done though in the longer thread on this they were saying SB+ was more of a 45 minute wait (before they reopened the SB line later in the evening). I could've sworn last time we went the regular SB line was anywhere from 40-60 min so where is the gain here? It's STILL a long wait you just have to wait hours to be able to wait for the ride. :confused3
