Well, I finally started my first album today. Scrapping our 1997 Disney trip. I think, no, I KNOW I'm hooked. I really had a FUN day! I got 8 pages done!

Anyhow, I was taking up the whole dining room table, and digging for stickers and papers... I do have a binder where I sorted my different papers and shapes by color. My stickers are just loose. Tools everywhere.

Please share how you keep your workspace neat and organized!!

Thanks.

I spent this pass weekend organizing. Here is my list :
12x12 paper - in creative cubes from target ( wire cubes that you set up with additional shelves for paper. )
81/2 x 11 paper - in file box
Scraps - in open hanging file holder w/folders
Adhesives/Tools - in iris carts and small 3 drawer countainer on my table
Pictures are seperated in accordian file holder
Templates - in a binder w/page protectors
Stickers - in binders with pocket pages
Pens - in a pencil pouch lying flat ( for better flow of ink )
Albums - stanfing up with bookends
Rolling suitcase with handle and smaller bag attached above to hold tools when at crops
Speciality paper is in Generations pocket holders that were $2.00 from Walmart
I used a desk top mailholder to hold my CM cutting tools

You can see my room ( minus the paper holder and small 3 drawer container which I just got ) at http://groups.msn.com/CindyAKADisneyQueensPage ( than use the tab at the left to go to my Scrapbook page ).

As far as keeping things neat I have to remind myself to put stuff away after I have finished . It helps now that I have a place for them to go.

Right now I don't have a scraping space. So I bought a Crop in style XXlarge tote. Then I bought some paper holders from Micheal's and a crop in style sticker binder. Most of my tools fit nicely in this bag and it holds all of my stuff except for the albums. If I didn't have 3 paper holders the albums would fit. LOL!
I also bought from CM a small little bag that looks like a shaving kit size to hold their cutting system and square cutter, one pair of sissors.
The bag isvery heavy but does have wheels. I can clean up fairly quickly and move a to different parts of the house.

WOW!! Some of those scrapbook rooms are really equipped!!! Thanks for the replies and suggestions. At this time, I don't have a space I could dedicate to scrapping, so I guess I need to buy and organizer. Right now all my stuff is in a shopping bag!

Last night I even went back and did 2 more pages, after 11pm!! The project calls me, even thought I should be doing 100 other things!!! DD14, is also doing a book.

Hey, Spinning...didn't I used to see you on the CB? I remember some sort of bruhaha regarding an easter egg hunt?? I remember thinking people were picking on you, but I have forgotten the whole story, as usual. :D :D If that was you, glad to see you!

Thanks again!

I just got all my supplies organized. I don't have a scrapping room, so I bought a large tote (Generations) from Sam's. I organized my 12X12 paper in a Generations organizer by color and pattern (and Disney). The 8X11 paper has its own file. I bought a binder and inserts for all my stickers, page toppers, die cuts, etc. It all fits in the tote, so I can move it around (although it is quite heavy) I had NO idea how many page toppers, die cuts and sticker I had til I put them all in the binder. Tommorrow is my day to scrap. Can't wait.

My scrapping area is in my siggy link. It's still set up about the same, but I recently moved all the paper into the cabinet. Two reasons.... more room on the table to work....and I was finding SOME (cheaper) paper had started to fade on the edges from sunlight.

TEEHEHEEE! THAT IS ME!T I Never left I still post on the CB. I post a lot on this board. I do have to laugh at some of the posters and how hot they get!

Everyone is so different! :D

I scrap at home and I go to crops - and here is what I did-

I used all my 40% coupons from Michaels and I bought - The CROP in STYLE sticker binder (good for die cuts too)
CROP in STYLE paper organizer (LOVE IT fits all my 12 X 12 and 8 1/2 X 11 paper (and I have a LOT OF PAPER!)
CROP in STYLE Bag holds albums, books, pictures, templates, etc.
CROP in STLYE pen organizer (that I lay flat for the ink) GREAT for traveling with!
Then for all the 'mouseallaneous' stuff I use my DISNEY nylon bag and I have all my scissors in a ziploc as well as other cutting systems, punches, etc!

I also have a file folder with all the sections lables for colors for scrap papers. And A plastic hinged box (cheap) for 'stuff' .

Another thing I have done is put stacking trays at my work area - so when I pull out a theme I am working on - then I put all the paper-stickers-die cuts - and related stuff in the tray while I am working on that so I am not scrounging or forgetting that I have a certain something! It works out great!

Good luck - I hope you find some helpful hints from other Disers

Well, thanks everyone. I am well and truly addicted. I worked on this off and on all weekend for a total of 16 pages. I am so pleased with the results! I got better as the weekend went on about putting stuff away and keeping it neat as I went. I DO think I need at least a couple of organizers. And I kept wishing for the full-size paper cutter we have at work!!

I am already thinking about what I will scrap next.

Looks like tomorrow may be another snow day. Uh oh.

Oh I envy you at this moment. I WISH we'd have a snow day just so I can get caught up on about 50 million things (and maybe tuck in a little scrapping!)

We haven't had one yet this winter. Although today the snow stayed away until kids and I were at school and now it is dumping! like crazy. Just walked past the windows and can't see the driveway that comes from the road to our building! The drive home after my late afternoon class should be oh so fun....:(
