Ok so this is going to be an ongoing TR so check back and I will update it as time allows..... Also the photos in the car are all my Wife's Doing! She tried to keep up with some pics for a TR while I drove. Also ALL of the pics on the TR so far are not edited, my wife shoots with a Powershot 340hs and I used my 70D mostly with my Sigma 10-20 Wide angle just if anyone is wondering, I do photography as a hobby and usually edit before I post but I took like 3,000 pics this trip so no time for that now. Some of the ride-through pics later on might be edited a little.
Friday Sept 12th - Time to leave!
After my wife got off a little early we finished getting the house clean (for our house guest who was going to take care of the dogs) and made sure to round up all the things we needed for our trip!
Our plan was to drive through the night and end up in SLO at a friends house to stay and get some sleep and play at the beach for a day, our real Disney trip didn't start until Sunday. So here are some of the pics from the packing process and getting the kiddos ready.....
Once we were all packed into the car it was time to head out! I also am making a Trip Video to go with this report

- This was a looong drive so we opted to drive throughout the night.....this was perfect as it allowed time for the kids to get some good sleep.
Here are some from the beginning of the drive, we planned to stop in Klamath Falls to get some dinner with one of my wife's friends from college.
Crazy bugs by the lake in Klamath.
Driving in the night headed for CA!
Then we had a 1 AM gas stop that turned out to be a early morning poop party from our son.....he was ready to party!
As we got closer to SLO we went through this crazy fog cloud......
Day 2 - Finally in SLO!
After driving all night I crashed out when we got to where we were staying, my wife and her friend took the kids to a park for a little bit before we were going to head to the beach after I caught a nap. The weather was awesome and I took waaay to many pics so ill spare you all and only post a few!
And while my wife was taking pics of our son on the beach with her new camera he decided to throw some sand at it.
.......resulting in this......
After messing with the camera, and a lot of frustration we got it working again.....sand + electronics = no good. After we got it fixed we got some really good pizza from some local place, made some 'smores with the kids and called it an early night. Our plan was to wake up @ around 2AM and head out for the rest of the drive to
Disneyland so we could try and use our early entry for DCA and get going right away at 7am!
Headed out to Disney @ 2AM!
So my alarm went off at 1:30am.....blah! But, I was getting the car ready for Disney so it was hard to not be happy! After we got the kids loaded and got gas, and some much needed coffee we were on the road. (again I haave a timelapse video in the making of the drive) and finally, FINALLY we got to the DLH @ around 6AM!
We had planned on getting there around this time to try and use EE at DCA our first day at 7am to get some of the harder (RSR) rides done! Needless to say it went how we planned perfectly! We arrived at DCA right at opening @ 7am and headed right for RSR with the plan to use a rider-swap for our daughter, and it worked great!
Walking through Downtown Disney EARLY!
Finally made it into DCA!
