well, it really makes you look at T2-3D and think about the storyline! I won't give anything away but it was a great movie, in my opinion!

I have no idea why we got to see the movie a day before it opened. Did any of you guys get to see it tonight? We were going to go tomorrow after I finished work and when we checked the showtimes, we noticed it was playing twice tonight so we went to see the 7 o'clock movie :p

You guys have made me so excited.

Wonder when it will come to the UK!!!!

It'll be there before you know it. We got 28 days later recently, and that's a trippy zombie flick!

Is there any rumors about any more Terminator movies out there?

T3 was a great movie until about the end of the movie when somebody must have decided that "hey we could make two movies out of the one idea that we have here" and then abruptly ended T3. Don't get me wrong, I really did enjoy T3... right up until the last 15 minutes. Had James Cameron been involved, I'd probably still be at the theatre right now waiting for it to end. Here's an example of what it was like. If James Cameron also did not direct "Titanic" and the people who made T3 did, it would have ended before the ship ever hit the iceberg. Of course T3 was such a great thrill ride (or is it that I am such a great sucker) that I will be one of the first in line to see T4. But I would imagine that if the story line follows as T3 suggests, It will be similar to seeing T2-3d.

Arnold said in an interview he is signed on for T4 and T5.

Arnold hasn't signed up at all!!!

Here's a piece taken from T3's Director Jonathan Mostow:-
Obviously, this movie does lead the way to a Terminator 4, but, you know, Arnold and I have spoken about it and I think we both also feel that it's very presumptuous to decide we should go ahead and make T4 before T3 comes out and finds an audience and is embraced." Would Mostow be involved with a T4? "Only if I could come up with a story that I felt was as good as the other movies."

Saw it yesterday & LOVED it !!!
what a great movie - highly reccomended :)

I agree with you guys... diddnt like the ending.. if youve been to T:2 3D you KNOW that a core to skynet does exist... oh well.. can't wait to see the next ones... all and all it was very impressive... there is a great article about the making of T:2 3D that came out on July 3rd at www.ioahq.com check it out... soon there will be an article about the cat and the hat ride, movie, and books as well as an article about extinct universal attractions. Im really lovin this website... sorry that I keep talking about it...lol... 12 more days!!! YAY!

Actually a Skynet core DOESN'T exist. The movie universe does not take into account the theme park ride. Just as if there was a BTTF sequel, I highly doubt it would involve Doc running a Time Institute.

true true.. but T2:3D was advertised as a Terminator 1.5 of sorts... either way I was okay with the movie and happy with the attraction... I promise ill live ;)

Seeing as how James Cameron directed and helped conceive it, and it stars the entire original cast, I consider T2:3D more or an actual sequel to T2. T3 was a good movie, but since the original creator was in no way involved in it's production, it's hard to take it serious in terms of the Terminator universe.

If anything, it's almost like a really good fan fiction (or fan film) with an enormous budget and the original actor reprising the titular role (which almost didn't happen). Its a nice "What if?" scenario, but for me, what constitutes an actual extension of a fictional universe is that which the original creator had something to do with.

That said, I was really surprised by T3, and enjoyed it a lot. If James Cameron doesn't want to make anymore Terminator movies, I'm glad somebody is telling these possible stories. It does what good fan fiction is supposed to do. But, despite it being good, it doesn’t feel like a Terminator movie, but it is a movie about Terminators (if you know what I mean).

If the creator the Terminator universe made a point to mention a core to SkyNet in T2:3D, and then in T3 a different writer says that there is no core, who are you going to listen to?

Regardless of my point, T2:3D and T3 can coexist, in terms of this debated plot point.

SPOLIERS!!!!!

At the end of T3, during the beginning of SkyNet's reign, there maybe no core, because it functions entirely as software across interconnected computers. But, it's possible that in the future we see in T2:3D, the machines decided to establish a physical location for SkyNet's mother board. Simple as that.

Doc,

that's how I saw it too, at the original beginning there was no one big Skynet but eventually, it became what we saw in T2:3D and they travelled thru time to destroy it.

Strictly from a theatrical standpoint, I didn't miss James Cameron at all. And I'm a BIG fan of his.

I enjoyed the lighter edge of this Terminator, it was more inclusionary than the predecessors, in the sense that anyone who saw it could enjoy it.

It was a roller coaster ride from begining to end (or pre-end) and I truly enjoyed it. After seeing the neverending Hulk I couldn't help but wish it was more like this!

And from a WOMAN'S point of view, man, did Ahnold look good! Wow, and he's older than ME! shutUP, Barry Hom!!!!

How about this theory... (movie spoilers ahead):

In the timeline that resulted in Judgement Day in 1997, Skynet was built with a central core, as networking technology was more primitive and less widespread than it is today.

However as we know, that timeline ceased to exist when the events of T2 took place, and now Skynet isn't built and activated until 2003. We're at a time when networking tech is more advanced, and Skynet was therefore designed as a distributed system.

This could also presumably mean that the 2003 Skynet is MORE powerful and in control than the 1997 Skynet, possibly lowering the human race's chances of survival even further!

Whatever, it's just a movie :)
