Saving Dole Whip Float Money (Update 2/27: TR Link Posted!)

Less Than 12 Hours To Go!!!

I cannot believe that the trip is finally here! I am dashing around trying to get everything ready. I just added 12 books from the library on my nook, and at this time, I'm clearing out my camera memory card. Everything has to be plugged in to charge, and I have to go pack!

Today didn't go the way I thought it would go. I was supposed to get more work done for school (yesterday I completed lesson plans for pretty much everything on the Mon and Tues we return, so I don't have to worry about that). However, I actually spent the day in PAIN! AGH! Not the way to go! But I guess it's better that the pain was today rather than tomorrow.

I doubled over with abdominal pain at school today. I actually wanted to cry in the middle of my class! The school nurse checked me out and figured it might be a colitis flare-up. I could barely stand, so the principal got others to cover my remaining 2 classes, so I didn't have to teach. I just sat in the office unable to move.

Thankfully, most of that pain has passed at this point. I'm still not 100%, but at least I can stand and move around. It really threw off all my plans because I couldn't really do much once I got home from work. I'm trying to focus on everything I have to do, but I didn't make a good list like I usually do! Arg. I'm going to pay for that later, I know it.

Okay, I really shouldn't be spending any time on DIS when I have so much to do! Maybe I'll write an update or two while we're there on our off days. Hope you all have a great week!

I hope you guys have a wonderful and safe trip!! I can't wait to hear about it!! I also hope you your pains went away and that you're feeling better so you can enjoy your trip fully!

(This is Rachel!)

Have a great time!! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back!

Thanks, Kylie! Now I can say I have Amtrak experience too! Thankfully, it seems like our car was the best one. It was calm and peaceful and stayed clean for the most part. The only bad part is some guy tried to steal from my cousin!!! More on that when we get back.

Safe trip Rachel! Have a great time!!!

Thank you! We really are having a great time. We're back from Epcot and most of us are showered at this point. We had our Le Cellier lunch today! SO good!

Lucky!! Have fun!

Thanks! Every time I hear "Celebrate You," I think of you and have to mention it to Howard!

Thank you! My pain actually did return on Sunday morning and today just a few hours ago (it's better now). I guess I really do have to go to the doctor when I get back, but I'm trying to do my best and still enjoy it all!

(Whoops, this is Rachel under Howard's user name!)

Hello from Florida! I can't believe that we're in this really nice weather. The high was about 84 today. We got word that there was snow again in NY! What?!? Glad we weren't there for it though because I was really starting to feel the winter blues. Not enough Vitamin D!

We had our Epcot day today. It was so much fun, but it was extremely tiring. The highlight of the entire day was the 2 hours we spent at Le Cellier. Our server told us that when they change to a signature restaurant, only 2 things are staying. ONLY 2 THINGS! That's the filet mignon (with changes!) and the cheddar cheese soup. Everything else will be gone! Even the chocolate mousse! Crazy crazy crazy. We absolutely loved our meal though. It was so yummy and so filling! At the end of the day, I went to Guest Relations to write up one of those "Yay for the Cast Member" things (I forgot what it's called, but Howard took a picture of it after I filled it out) for our server, Jeremy. We got pics with him too! Seriously, he was fantastic. Definitely made the experience even more memorable on top of the good food!

The other really exciting thing about today is that Howard and I went to try the green side of Mission Space. Yeah, we didn't and will never want to try the orange side, but this was a new ride for both of us! I was nervous about it, but we survived! It was a lot of fun, but it's not something that I can go on two times in a row or even twice in one day.

Hmm, I'll just mention one more thing since it seems more complete with 3 things. At the end of the day, I also went to get a Guest Assistance Card for MK and AK on Wednesday and Friday. I thought I could last without it, and I technically did last today without it, but Howard and I sat a LOT. It was just too much walking from one place to the next. We actually didn't even do that much walking because of our 2-hour lunch. It's just not worth pushing myself and stressing about it. I can't imagine fainting again in WDW just because of my condition! No thanks!

Okie dokie, just thought I'd drop by and say a few things. I know in just a few days, we'll be back home, and I'll be back to work! Blah. For right now, I'm just going to enjoy. Tomorrow is our Downtown Disney + Earl of Sandwich + Hamburger Helper day! Have a great rest of the week!

Awww.

YAY, an update from Florida! We got snow here in WI too. :sad2: I am so ready for our trip!

Good for you doing Mission:Space even if it was the green side! You now have one up on me. Does this mean you'll go ahead and try Everest?! I hope so...popcorn::

Glad you guys are having a good time!!

(Haha, this is Rachel again.)

I really get excited when I hear that song because of you AND because it's such a catchy song! I said to Howard yesterday that it's really cool to be so young and be a Disney Channel star that's not despise (ex. Hannah Montana) because it's just so so so amazing to have YOUR SONG playing in DISNEY WORLD!

Florida is just great weather. We were all so ready for it. We're thankful there wasn't snow or rain when we had to get to Amtrak and all that. That stressed me out for a bit.

Mission Space was really fun. I was nervous because I didn't know anything. Even the new queue was insane! It helped that we went later at night because there was no one there. We got the card and walked all the way through to give the card back and watch the video with Gary Sinise. Less time to be nervous! I can't imagine being on the orange side though because this was the exact intensity that I can handle. The thing I actually didn't like was the cold air blowing on my head because it was about to create a headache for me (I don't like AC blowing on my head because it gives me a sinus headache). Thankfully, walking back out into the warmth helped it go away.

Oh, funny thing about that ride is that Howard was flicking all the switches around him and being so serious about it! Each person is responsible for only 2 buttons, but the capsule has a ton around that don't do anything. He was just really getting into his role; it was so funny (and cute, in my opinion, haha).

As for Everest, I'll really have to see what happens when we get to Friday! If I'm feeling a little uneasy, I'm going to skip it. Haha, at least I conquered one new ride!

I'm so sorry I missed your departure! Work has been keeping me so busy. I'm glad to hear you are having a great time! I can't wait to read all about it when you return!

Hey Rachel who knew we would be in the same state during the same time? I am leaving on Saturday for Miami, my DH finally came home so we are headed to the Caribbean! I can't wait! I'm so excited! I wanted to do a Disney Cruise but DH said no, which okay I can live with out going to Disney for a bit. I'm sure it will be all new and exciting again after a nice little break from it. I can't wait to read your TR~~~~~ I'm glad you got the GAC there is no shame in that! I hope you guys have a wonderful time tomorrow!!!!

I can't believe the vacation is over and that I have to return to work! I was hoping the break would revitalize me because I was really starting to get so irritated by the little things that come along with teaching. Hopefully, writing the TR will keep me happy!

Oh yay! How fun it'll be to be on a cruise! I'd be looking forward to all that food! The comforting thing for me is that Howard and I will be back at WDW next year for our honeymoon. That is the plan at this point, but if we aren't able to make it back, I'm sure it'll be okay. We'll have a lot of planning to do with the wedding and the apartment anyway!

The GAC really saved me a lot of trouble at MK. I definitely would've felt sick had I not had it. The lines were pretty long!

Now we head back on Amtrak today ...

Alas, we have no returned to real life! It's so disappointing to be back in NYC where everyone is grouchy and rushed. Plus, it's cold! I'm glad we missed the snow while we were away, but I would really like some warm weather right about now. This is much too cold for me!!!

I'll post up a link to the TR as soon as I have it up. I actually started writing it on the trip, so hopefully it won't be too long.

AGH. Work tomorrow? Seriously?

Welcome home, girl! Can't wait to hear all about your trip! At least NY is slightly warmer than it has been-- upper 30's and low 40's!

I hear ya on going back to work, I wasn't in WDW and I don't want to go to school tomorrow. :sad2: LOL.

Looking forward to your TR and am still very curious if you got on Everest. I told my dad how you went on M:S and said maybe I should just try it this time. Now it's your turn to do some convincing. ;)

Yeah, I'd be upset if we came back and there was snow on the ground!

Ugh, the next break is Spring Break, and that's so far away from now!!! I also have lunch duty this week so tomorrow there literally is NO break. Teach pds 1-4, have lunch duty during 5th, teach 6-8, and tutor after school. It's so difficult trying to get into the swing of things. If I were home, I would've done a teeny bit of work each day. I don't even remember what it's like to sit at my desktop!

YES, it's worth trying Mission:Space one time if it's the green side. It was a lot of fun. The only thing I didn't like was that air was blowing on my head during the whole ride. That almost gave me a sinus headache. At first I thought it was the ride, but then I remembered the air. Once I went back outside into the warmth, I was fine. It's very easy to just close your eyes if necessary. The ride vehicle thing just tips back for the launch and then goes forward at one point when landing. Then it bumps and moves left to right when navigating. Getting into the story gets it to be very fun and tense, haha. The girl sitting to the left of Howard wasn't doing anything, and we were joking about how we should've been like, "You're not being a good pilot! MUTINY!!!" Haha, Howard wanted to reach over and press the buttons that she wasn't pressing.

Yay! I hope you all had a great time! Looking forward to the TR!!

We definitely did have a great time! There was just a few hours where I was in pain (dumb stomach!), but thankfully, it was over and I was done with it!

Welcome home! Glad you had a great trip. How was the weather? :cool2:

Thank you! The weather was WONDERFUL! I'm glad I had my hoodie for the early mornings and late nights, but other than that, it was gorgeous! We had pretty much low to mid 80s. I miss it right now! I have goose bumps from being so cold!
