Save PUSH! Last day is Saturday!

That and FP+, but mostly the ladder because it's gone so over-budget.

This is just the latest cut we've seen. Yesterday was the Zitti Sister, couple weeks ago was Miyuki, now PUSH. Who knows what's next?

No Miyuki?!?!? It this for real? My family, especially my girls, love her. We look forward to seeing her on our trips to Epcot. I'm so sad!!!

I'm a wee bit sad about PUSH, he was a neat little thing, but I somehow doubt he's being removed because of FP+.

Maybe they are replacing this stuff with new experiences, no one knows yet, to bring new stuff in, you need to remove the old stuff.

That is not how business works.... The FastPass+ and My Disney Experience will have their own separate budget from In park entertainment at Walt Disney World.

If FP+ and MDE are over budget, that money would not come out of WDW's budget alone. I will bet Disney plans to use FP+ and MDE at every park around the world, so why would WDW's budget be paying for it?

My guess, WDW is removing some of the older, stale experiences, to make room for new experiences in the future. Are we talking about next week future? no, but in a few months, for the summer? yes.

People complain Disney doesn't add anything new, but they also complain when they take stuff out, you can't have both.

That's now how Disney views MM+/FP+. They're viewing this as a "guest experience" (it's been categorized very generally just so the money can come from all different types of places), so now when it's over-budget, Disney can cut from wherever they deem necessary as a long as it's a "guest experience", which obviously entertainment is. Obviously, entertainment is not the only place to receive cuts (like attraction development), but at the same time, it's hard to look at the trend and not deny any sort of pattern.

If you don't believe me, I guess that's fine, but I'm just saying it how it is. Remember the mass hysteria that MiceChat article created?

And the only thing Disney's announced entertainment-wise for MK is FoF, and I'd be very, very shocked to see any sort of PUSH replacement anytime soon.

Back in the day Disney would add new stuff with out taking out other stuff.

Hollywood Studios cut a show and a parade in April of last year and nothing has replaced them.

Budget cuts. Pretty soon they'll be almost no entertainment in the parks.

When a company's spending 1.5 billion on one project, they'll find a creative accounting way to cut money from somewhere. Geez...how much could it really cost to maintain Push?

I assume Push's "handlers" will be reassigned to assist guests at the new FP+ kiosks.

:sad2::sad1::sad: I'm so sad to see him go. First no more Belle meet and greet in MK, then no more Mickey and Minnie together pics in MK, and now no Push either. So sad! My DD(7) is obsessed with Push. We had to go try and hunt him down on every MK day. He was hilarious. We loved watching him interact with people Everyone always asks whey there is a picture of DD with a trash can when they look at our Disney book!

He cracked me up when I was there in November. He looked at a pre-teen girl wearing a bright pink top and said "you look like a highlighter"!

We love Push! I let him borrow my Jack Skellington ears yesterday for a little while. :(

My kids have yet to meet PUSH in their trips. I sure hope he will still be there in May! Pretty Please Disney. Keep him around!

I learned how to use a hashtag on facebook just for this. :rotfl: But seriously, I'm glad we got to see him last month. :(

Removing the current Push to replace him with a new Push that interacts with the RFID aspect of the MagicBands would be a good way to leverage that technology in the parks. Maybe not a direct replacement and maybe not right away but something similar that interacts on a more personal level. Looking back at the living character initiative from a few years ago it would be a perfectly logical next step.

I'm willing to wait and see what kinds of things get rolled out in the next 2-5 years in relation to NextGen before making any real judgement about it.

I'll believe they are replacing him with something better when I see it. Or how about waiting until they have some new MB/FP/MM improved PUSH, if that is indeed the case.

Til then, I see it as just a cut. Sad.

It seems like they want people to stop focusing on the rides so much and enjoy the little things in the parks, but then they keep taking away those little things :confused3

Is this even happening or is it all still a RUMOR?

It's seems to have been confirmed by the contractors (who emphasized that there still is room for an agreement) who have not been able to negotiate a new deal with WDW. But, officially by Disney, yes it's still a rumor. If you ask me, it's best to show some love for PUSH regardless.
