Savanah View Studio at AKL, does it make sense to own

If the only consideration is to stay at the Savanah View studio rooms at AKL, does it make sense to own at AKL or to use SSR points at 7 months ? Travel time would be Memorial Day week or Labor day or second week of December.

I own SSR and usually can get savanna at 7 months or less. The value And concierge stuidios you definitely need to own there or get lucky. We’ve stayed in a value studio once but it was only 1 night.

Thank you for the input Lisa. We own at SSR too and have been tracking for December, but the 7 month mark is long ways away, I am hoping to get lucky with a Savanah view for 3 nights because we do have a trip planned for the second week. Fingers crossed.

What are you saving in the long run like $1500 upfront over 30 years ($50/yr)? Maybe you save like $25 on MFs each year?

Think about that you are willing to gamble staying at the specific place you want to stay over $75 or $10/night during your week long stay. We all do it but sometimes we get to caught up in getting the best deal.

You are absolutely right Seth. Thank you for the insights and comparisons in numbers. I am very carefully calculating and contemplating the next contract purchase. Buying AKL makes complete sense for peace of mind. Access to Value 1 BR and Concierge level at 11 months surpasses any small short term gain.

I would highly recommend everyone get a room at their home resort for the end of the year locked in in the 11 mon window and not wait til the 7month hoping to book something as there’s a lot of points in play right now and most people are planning fall and later trips hoping things will be a little more normal.
