I have a friend looking into the Saturn Vue. I'm not familiar with Saturns and my family never had any of the Saturn vehicles. Are they a good quality efficient car? Any problems? I just found out they are made by GM. Any Vue owners out there? Please advise.

I have a Saturn Ion 3 and a Saturn VUE. We have had no problems with either of them. I love the VUE; it gets decent gas mileage but I also have the 4cyl and not the 6.

I don't have a Vue but a 4-door Saturn sedan and love it. Great gas mileage, excellent customer service at the dealers I have been to. I did drive a Vue as a loaner and it was fun...I told them I would just leave my 4 year old car with them, pay for the repair they were doing and keep the Vue but they didn't go for it LOL. I think they are great cars and when I need a new car, I'll buy another Saturn.

MIL has the VUE and she loves it. No problems since she purchased the car 2 years ago. Good gas mileage...nice ride. It's her 4th Saturn.

I currently drive a Saturn Relay, DH has an SL2 and we had an SL2 before that. So we know the Saturn line well.

Go for a test drive. I actually saw yesterday at the Saturn dealership (I was there for an oil change) that the VUE was tied for 1st place in Total Quality Assurance Rankings for Small SUV for 2004. That's no dunce prize.

And while Saturn is owned by GM, don't make a judgment based on that. Do some digging on the internet and check out how Saturn is always tops in customer satisfaction.

I haven't had a Saturn, but I have a friend that has the Vue. She LOVES it! As a matter of fact, she and her husband only buy Saturns! They've had great experiences with them and don't plan on switching to anything else. Her husband has one of their cars. And they've each had Saturns before this round. :)

When we lives in CA we had a 4-door Saturn sedan which we absolutely loved! Unfortunately we can't get them over here in the UK or else we would have one now!

I have had 2 Saturns. I retired the SC Coupe after 10 years and the 4-door I've had for 3 years now. I love them and refuse to buy any other car b/c I've never had a problem w/them. When it came time to buy a new car, we went straight to Saturn. My Dad has a Saturn and loves his, too.

I have my first Saturn SL1 that I bought back in 1997, it has 111,997 miles on it and still runs fantastic. I love my car. They will run phenomenally if you just do your regular matinance.

We are now on our third Saturn. I have a Vue and DH drives a sedan and we couldn't be happier. Our third one had over 150,000 miles on it and was getting 35/38 on gas mileage. But when I was hit it was totalled. In a way it worked out because I was able to get my Vue which I LOVE!!!!! It is not only comfortable, roomy and safe, but it gets good gas mileage for being an SUW (sport utility wagon) By the way being a SUW instead of and SUV saved us a lot in insurance. Anyway, ours Vue is a 2004 and the mileage is aroung 29/34. I am so happy with it that when it's paid off that we are going to get another one. I hope this helps.

DH & I have owned four Saturns in the past ten years between us.

1. SL1. This car had problems, Saturn had a couple recalls. The customer service made me buy another.

2. SC2--What a great car! The only reason I got rid of it was the miles were getting up there, and they had a zero percent financing deal going, so I traded it for an ION Quad Coupe and got lower monthly payments. I've had no problems with it at all.

3. L-200--Probably the best car we've ever owned. My son is learning to drive on it. It's forgiving to drive, has a nice ride, and we've had ZERO problems with it. It's actually our "spare car" right now, but it's paid for and with what it costs to keep it insured and maintained, we're keeping it.

4. Ion Quad Coupe. I've had no problems with it, I've got 30K miles on it, it's a 2004, so it's seen some road. It's got a sporty ride--tight sterring and suspension. It's still rated as a sedan though.

My husband "left" Saturn and bought a Toyota Prius. He wanted a Hybrid, and didn't want a SUV, and Saturn didn't have anything to offer thta fit his needs. Otherwise he would have stuck with them.

I'm on the list to order a Sky in the spring, I'll be trading in the ION for it. I can't wait!!!!

Saturn has incredible customer service. That in itself makes them my first choice in automakers.

My sister and her husband have had 3 Saturns and my in-laws are on their 4th, including a 2 year old VUE. None of them have given them any problems. My MIL loves her VUE. The one think I don't like about the Saturns is the interior space always seems cramped to me. My sister is not quite 5' tall and her DH is only 5'4" so they don't notice it as much.

I own an 98 Saturn SL2 (that's the largest of the 4 door sedans that they had at the time). Has run great with very good fuel economy. Right now, since it's going on 8 years old, I'm starting to have to replace parts, but it's all due age or wear and tear. No reason why it won't last me another 5 years if I keep up on maintenance.

I'd buy another in a minute!

I' 5'7" and my DH is 6', and neither of us have ever felt cramped in our Saturns. My DS is 6' and rides comfortably in the back seat of the L-Series, the ON is a little tight, but it's the same as any car in it's class would be.

The L series is VERY roomy!

I've driven 2 Saturns--love them both. We had a 1999 Saturn SL-2, I loved, loved, loved that car. I wish we still had that car. We traded that in on a 2003 Ion , we have had some transmission problems with the Ion (had the car in the dealership 3 times), but the customer service was wonderful. They gave us a loaner car for 3 weeks while they completely re-worked our transmission and checked our engine and gearing to make sure that the transmission problems didn't damage the gears. The Ion is a fun little car to drive (really wish I had the Ion Redline, but I can't drive a stick) and for a 4-cyclinder, it has quite a bit of pep. DH and I probably won't buy a new car for a while, but when we do, I'll seriously look at the Vue.

We have a 95 SL2 that currently has 223,000 miles on it. We've had it the whole 10 years. It did have an oil problem at one time but other than that only regular maintenance. It's a 5 speed 6 cyl.

A friend from church says his mom and sister each have a Saturn and they each have over 300,000 miles.

Overall we're happy with the car.
