I let mine expire and didn't renew, and 2 weeks later we got a letter with a 6 months for $25 offer.

From what my lit from them says, there is no expiring. The service will continue (and you will be billed/charged) until you call to cancel. That is why I always make the call before my renew date.

If you don't have a credit card on file, it will expire.

I just renewed. I went with the $89 for a year. With taxes and fees it was $104. To us, the service is worth the $8 a month it will cost.

I am being mailed a paper bill, which is what I've had them do for the last five years.

Yep. We paid for a year in advance and did not give them a credit card for auto renew. When the sub ran out after the year, we didn't renew. I will for $25 for 6 months though.
