Howdy, Sassies! I am off to take Barney to a 2 day swim meet and wanted to check in so that you didn't think that I had been eaten by Chumley or something. Or, sprayed by a skunk and not let in the house . Poor Sierra! Poor Angus!

I am jealous of all of you who have begun Christmas shopping! I get worse and worse in procrastination every year. Heather - I hope you feel better soon!

hi Sassies! Got home yesterday morning! Had soooo much fun in Cali, but it's good to be home. 'Cept for the 2 inches of water and geyser-like pipe that greeted us in the basement!!! Apparently, the pipe burst a few hours before we got home, which was actually a good thing, because we could have ended up with several FEET of water!

Insurance covering damage, but the deductible and plumber's fees are not exactly welcome after such a big trip, and with Christmas so close... But, that's life for ya! Expect the unexpected, right?

Looks like I missed a lot on this thread. Let's see... does this about cover it?

Sick kids, kids getting better, more sick kids, sick Sassies, sassies getting off meds, thirsty dog, one reaaaaallly smelly dog and one dog getting her groove on, PMSing DHs, hot weather, cold weather (both unwelcome), and squirrel stew in the garage.

Hope y'all have a great weekend! I'll be minding the house as a parade of water damage specialists, insurance adjusters, and contractors come by. DH and Reece are going camping w/ Boy Scouts tomorrow. Sunday we're meeting some friends at a farm/pumpkin patch that has a petting zoo and a corn maze, and then that evening I have a book club meeting. Nothing like easing back into life after a vacation!!!

Oh, and when we get together for our little potluck Sassy dinner, I'm bringing the margarita FOUNTAIN, just like the one they had at the wedding reception we went to in Monterey. Nothing like sticking your glass in an un-ending stream of citrusy goodness!!!!

Sweetest Day? What-evah! Another one of those Hallmark holidays. I guess DH and I are getting each other new carpet padding & drywall for Sweetest Day! Tres romantic.

Not new carpet, just the padding! And believe me, I wish I was getting nothing! My basement is a flipping nightmare right now.
