Judi-- I agree that the MoWs bill is uncalled for. I understand they need donations, but they should be soliciting from people other than those they're serving!

Bonnie-- A sing-along version of MM?!?!?! WTH wasn't I invited missy??? (ok, so I couldn't have gone anyway. Just razzing ya!) Hope Brent is feeling better, and that the girls are enjoying school. Has Heather been eaten alive by any upperclassman yet?

Becca-- YAY! A new floor (soon) and almost time for WDW. Are ya pumped up yet? Packed? Stocked up on industrial-strength Purell?

Angus-- what's shakin? How's your back doing?

Julie-- I see on a first-hand basis how stressed librarians get-- I have some verrrrry grumpy ones at my branch! (I'm thinking maybe it's the constant paper cuts? No?)

Wilma-- Hope you get that eyebrow wax soon. The National Park Service called. They want their shrubbery back.

Heather-- I too do the super clean when in-laws arrive. For my own parents, not so much!

Shirley-- How's my favorite granny? Hope the situation with your grandson gets better soon.

And... did I see a Rella sighting a few pages back? Hi Rells!!!!!

I will be writing a brief TR about beach trip tonight, but will probably post it at the Pie Hole rather than here. I have lots of pics, including the rather unflattering beach pics, and I'd hate to give the lurkers a free show!!!

As for my mother's visit here... Somehow, she has invited herself along on the Disneyland portion of our trip next month! Sadly, there is not a chance of her usual habit of cancelling last-minute--- while she was here, she had me book airfare, hotel, and park tix. Though I love my mom, she is very, very hard to be around! Bi-polar, not super friendly or outgoing, and a hypochondriac! She doesn't know how to "chit-chat" or make friends easily, so even though I've known her for my almost 32 years, we often lapse into those awkward, first-date kind of silences. And, she has a habit of being just plain rude to waiters, store clerks, etc... I feel for the DL CMs! Let's just say that it should be... interesting... having her around while we're there! I already promised Ryan not to let her ruin our time, and I warned her 90,000 times this week that we are hard-core, opening -to-close people, and that she'll have to keep up or go back & rest.

Ok, vent over. No one else but you guys will understand why having her at DL w/ me is worse than if she had just inserted herself into a camping trip, or beach trip, or something. I hope she doesn't taint my Magic!

we are now in the do people reallylive here freakishly clean mode....it is downright eerie in my house. You should all come over and see it before it vanishes.....the family is already doing their very best to make the houselived in again

Thanks Judi but I look at it like this.............1. I come to the DIS for fun. 2. I'm not getting into an argument with someone I don't even know who obviously just doesn't get it. Sad but true I think she's very ignorant!!!!!!! Does she really think we want all the attention the media has given us. I would gladly trade that to bring me back to three years ago. Enough said.

Kendall cheers at her first football game tonight. She is so excited! Colin also has a baseball game tonight so here we go with I'll take this one here and you take that one there. Mark is the coach so he has to go with Colin. At least one week they have a by so he'll be able to see Kendall in all her glory out on the field. I'll bring the camera to capture the moment. It makes me kind of sad because I've never missed one of Colin's baseball games before. Sadly this will be the first of many because they each have games on Tuesday nights. At least Colin also has Saturday games so I'll be cheering them on then. Let the juggling begin!

I saw it yesterday and skipped it cuz it seemed like trolling to me. Honestly, why would someone post this unless they wanted to start a fight? And I am with you Judi-I'm SO sick of the political threads. They get so nasty and juvenile. They always result to name calling just like elementary school-grow up people! If you don't have an intelligent well thought out response than SHUT IT!

Shannon~I'm sorry your mom invited herself along! I know how much you've been looking forward to this trip. My MIL is like that-she invites herself along or her and DH plan trips together a lot. And they don't tell me until it's basically a done deal. But that's a whole 'nother story! You just need to make sure you and DH and the boys have fun.

Hi girls!! How the heck are ya?

It's raining here again! Me likey. But my hair doesn't. Tomorrow is picture day at school, hope it's not raining then!

Bubba went out of town for two days! Woot! Party time! Let's see what kind of shennanigans the girls and I can get into whilst he is gone!


My class is getting better every day! It's nice to see. There are a couple of stinkers that are just gonna be stinky all year, but they are starting to understand their boundaries with me. I feel mean but man, this class takes a lot of effort!
