Hey Bonnie! Wassup with you today? I re-did my toenails. Me no likey the first version so now I am a bright pinky-orange! It is my favorite nail polish and just makes me happy!! My DH thinks I have lost my mind with all the constant nail painting.

The polish I picked was called I am not a waitress. I thought that was hilarious! It is ruby slipper reddish to me, that's why I had to have it!

I don't have any heavy coats anymore!! I have a jacket but it's hideous! But I have to bring something! I told you my nice one is just a little too tight now!

Yeah-it sucks about MSN but that will just give us more to chat about this weekend!!

Becca~an employee just filled out his direct deposit form. The check he attached has the Redwings on it!! It made me think of you!

Guess we will both be hideious then. It ain't a cotillion, after all!

Took us 15 pages to get the thing shut down I don't think we super posted that much in ages.

Speaking of ruby slippers I brought Bonnie's Wicked Witch magnet to work and hung it on one of my file cabinets. Every time I look at it I get excited!!

I agree Wilma, I would like a glass of wine before and after all that! I mean they get to third base with nary a hello. After my last mammogram I thought I deserved a whole dinner since they had to have everyone in the office in there for the ultrasound that followed the **** squishing!

You've got that right. My doc is a good guy, he likes to chat after the exam (he is kind enough to let you get dressed and come to his office so you're not there nekkid chatting) about your health, how life is, etc. So, I guess he gets points for that. Can't we find something uncomfortable for men to have to do on a yearly basis to even the score?

I was able to get in. But I did have problems yesterday. It does say they will be doing maintenance sometime today (I don't know how far behind GMT I am!!).

Bonnie, Mom is stable and has gained 3 pounds. Badly needed to undergo surgery next Tuesday. Guess I do know how to cook when I have too.

A Whipple. The doctor's hoping instead of 2-4 months we'll get 2 years.
FoP, you know as well as I do.

Yep, the surgery is on for May 20th. Have to be in TC at 5:15am
We've got a hotel room for Monday night We live over a hour from the hospital, using the Becca way of driving.

Good Morning Sassy's

Well....I think I spoke too soon about my house being back to normal. Kate went to school Monday and was mostly fine, then she called me from school on Tuesday but it wasn't too bad so she stayed (which was good for me because Joey and I were very very sick again!!! ) However, she is home again today.

I am taking her to a different doctor today. Instead of our family PCP, I am taking her to Joey's pediatrician. I don't know what to do. She barely eats and is losing weight. What if it is more than a virus? OY!! I have to stop asking those questions because I am tearing up just thinking something serious might be wrong with my baby.

Her appointment is at 10:30....I will keep you posted.

OK....we are home from the Dr. She thinks that Kate has some sort of parasite (she told me the names but it was all Greek to me ). She said she would give her the meds for it because 90% of the time that clears everything up, but if she doesn't get better over the weekend we would ahve to do more invasive testing. And she advised me to go ahead and keep Kate home the rest of the week

Kate is very upset because she will be missing the field trip on Friday. Any ideas of fun things we can do at home? We can't bake any goodies because she is still on a very bland diet.

Heather, I'm so sorry she still isn't well. I hope the medication takes care of whatever it is and makes her feel like herself. Maybe you could put together a pretend vacation to somewhere new. Research it, make an itinerary and map it out. I love planning vacations and she could learn about someplace new. Does she like those iron on bead things? That could be something too. She must be bored out of her goard not being able to do much. I sympathize with you.

I think a pretend vacation is a great idea. I think I will go to the library tonight after Scott gets home and pick up a few books.

Today we planted some strawberry seeds and some tomato seeds. Oh and we planted a couple pumpkins and watermelons. I need to get more potting soil so we can plant some squash and a couple other things.....I can't remember what seeds I have right now.


On the plus side, Jasmine is really working out. She seems so sweet and is mostly housetrained already. I am thinking she was somebody's pet. She needs some training of course, but she is remarkably well behaved and calm.....especially considering she is so young.

How is everyone else doing?

Becca, Angie, and Bonnie......I bet ya'll are just so excited about your upcoming trip Are yougetting any sleep? Or are you a too excited to sleep commercial?

I think what is so frustrating for Kate is that her health keeps going up and down. She feels better one minute and is rushing to the bathroom the next. It is unpredictable, so we feel pretty captive in the house.

I'm sorry Heather!!! I really hope Kate feels better soon! I think Becca's pretend vacation idea sounds really fun!! Maybe a trip to Michaels, too. I'm sure they would have some fun stuff if she's into anything crafty.

I am REALLY excited for Chicago! I can't believe it's finally here (well-one more day). I did have a little trouble staying asleep last night. I kept waking up and thinking about the trip. Maybe it's time to start taking my Advil PM!!

Heather - I am so sorry about Kate! Is it Giardia? That's pretty easy to get from bodies of water, under chlorinated pools/hot tubs etc. It can last a while, but the antibiotics should help. Did they do a stool culture to confirm?

Judi - I am saying prayers for your mom and hope that the Whipple gives her what the doctor's hope for. Hugs to you, my friend .

Oh, Heather -how about doing some tie dye with Kate while she's home? She could do t-shirts, pillow cases, socks? My kids love to tie dye! They should have been born 25 years ago - they would have a great wardrobe to go following the Greatful Dead around.
