Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Kate will be going back to the doctor instead of school today. Last night she was up at 2. I gave her some immodium but it jsut made her throw up. I am so worried about her now. This is crazy. Joey was still ahving diarrhea last night too so I am anxious about how his day is going to go.

Jasmine is a heinz 57. She looks kinda like a lab to me with a little pit bull possibly mixed in. The paperwork I got from the shelter lists her as a Vizsla or Hungarian Pointer mix. She is a medium size dog with a smooth red coat. She has been following me like a shadow

Heather I think another trip to the Dr. is a good idea.

I think Jasmine is going to be a big girl when she grows up. Maybe she is grown up. Is she still a puppy?

Right now Jasmine is a medium size dog. I htink she is somewhere between 9 months and a year. On the paperwork from the vet that spayed her, it lists her as a lab mix and it lists her weight as 42.9 lbs. She has to go see our regular vet in a couple of weeks for her last parvo shot and I am going to ask them what they think she is and how much bigger they think she will get.

Becca~let us know what the Dr. says. I need to know if I should be practicing using my new cattle prod.

Heather~geez, this thing just won't go away! I hope the kids get better soon and the doctor has some good news. Are you still sick? Congrats on bringing Jasmine home!! It's a good sign that she let you take the clothes pin away. You can also try and take her food away while she's eating and see how she reacts. Of course, you just give it right back to her, but you just want to see if she gets aggressive or not.

I'm guessing the BBQ is for around 1:00-ish. Menu consists of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Baked Macaroni, Salad, Brownies, Strawberries (Weight Watchers friendly) Chips and Dips and whatever I decide to thrown in there.

I hear coming to New Orleans is the hot ticket so better get hopping and schedule those flights soon.

Hi there, Sassies! Did anyone ever see that SNL sketch with Phil Hartman, where he was a talk show host interviewing an assortment of 80's stars (played by SNL cast members) and every answer was "sassy"? It was so hilarious!

Today is an ok day but man, I am beat! I am so achy and my brain is fried from yesterday. I am still not over my sinus infection and I am stinkin' tired. I hope I get a lot of sleep this weekend!

Good morning, Sassies! We had tornadoes last night but not too much damage in our neighborhood. Trees down, some house damage, but no one was hurt. Now it's soggy and wet outside, which will make my morning at school all the more challenging. No outside time means that we get to practice calisthenics .

Bonnie - I can see why you are dissuaded. Maybe yesterday was a blessing in disguise - a way to help you see what the job would really be like. Sounds like it might be a Girl Friday position, and those are always tough!
Heather - hooray for Jasmine! Glad things are going well. Is Kate going to school today?

Becca - is your MD appointment today? Is the ankle feeling any better? I'll be thinking about you!

Girl, you're not kidding. This chick cannot do rainy day-hair. It's raining today and my hair looks like dookey. (I can't do ponytails or clips cause of all the layers in my hair). Even though I use the John Frieda stuff that Shannon picked out for me, my hair is still wavy and frizzy (although considerably less so with the product). I will bring it to Chicago and if it rains I will let you borrow it, hag. Has anyone checked the forcast for Chicago yet?

Well we are finally back from the drs. She said that Gastroenteritis can linger for 10 days or sometimes more. She wants to do a couple of tests but thinks we are almsot at the end of it. Joey is still having some issues today too.

Kate wants to go back to school though. She is bored I think. She can't go out to play and can't go anywhere else either. She asked the doctor if she could go back today but the doctor advised her to wait til Monday since she had been sick this morning....and it is a good thing too becuase when we got out to the parking lot, Kate sneezed and had a small accident. Poor baby

Hey Sassinesses! I'm back from the dr. and its just a sprain. Thank goodness, although I feel like I wasted my time. I haven't been happy with my dr. for awhile now and today pushed me over the edge. She was 40 minutes late and was in the room for maybe 3 minutes. She had her assistant bring in some papers with excercises, but she didn't tell me to ice it or take ibuprophen, nothing! I'm changing to Brian's dr. she is with the same practice so it will be an easy swap. I just hate when they don't take time to talk to you! Rant over.

Heather, hopefully it will all be over soon. Do any of her friends have it?

Thank good ness it isn't anything serious, Becca. I am totally with you about switching doctors...especially if she does that kind of thing often. I wonder how you sprained your ankle

I don't know if any of Kate's close friends have it, but the school nurse said that the other day they sent 13 kids home with stomach issues before 10 oclock.

It feels like we are on some weird roller coaster ride and I wnat OFF!!! She feels better, she feels sick, she is better, she is sick, up and down, up and down! I just want her to be better.

To my MSN haggy pals: I will be on tonight but it won't be until 9-ish or so.

Both my older girls have hair appts right now for cuts and partial foils. That has been known to last 3 to 4 hours.
