Although I do not own any points at SS, I kind of wish that I had reserved a two bedroom at SS rather than the BCV for my visit to WDW September 21.

I guess I never really considered SS months ago when I made the reservation and set up the Magical Express etc, but I have seen so many wonderful pictures and have seen how the landscaping has matured. The trip reports have gotten a lot more positive as well, and most of the construction seems to be under control.

Hi, we will be in the world the same time as you and will be staying at SSR. We have yet to stay at BCV, but it does look very nice. I cannot believe how much SSR has won our hearts though. Everytime we stay there we fall in love with it all over again. Hope that you are able to experience it for one of your trips. BTW, have a great time!

If you REALLY want to try SSR, you could call and ask about availability. Since Sept. is a slow month, a 2 bedroom just might be available. Only down side would be that you would have a few points left in holding because SSR takes a few less points. Whatever, enjoy!

It's all set up now. Magical Express tags and itinerary sent to DD etc. Next time! :thumbsup2

Definitely give it a try. At this time we don't own there either so I am not trying to sell my resort on anyone, but we love this resort.

we joined DVC at SSR last December sight unseen and now our first vacation there is in 3 weeks; I read a lot of mixed reviews about SSR last November and December but recently the trend has been much more positive.
Can't wait to see if for myself !!

:bounce:

Will be there in two weeks for a couple of days. My DW is letting me go alone for some R&R (work has been VERY stressful lately). I always seem to gravitate back to SSR. Quiet, open and near DD is a real plus. Don't mind the bus to the parks. What is even funnier is that my four teenage kids absolutely insist on SSR. They liked BCV but would rather have the proximaty to DD.

We stayed at SSR in a 1BR over Labor Day weekend. The resort is very beautiful and quiet. Something about SSR makes you want to relax and slow down a bit. We didn't go to the parks this trip, just came down to shop and eat so SSR was perfect for that.

My family will be at SS the first week of December. It will be, with the exception of my parents, the first time for most of my family. My parents stayed at SS back in July, and they loved it.

This will be my my first time at SS, after staying once at Boardwalk Villas, and twice at Villas At Wilderness Lodge.

I am also looking foward to seeing the big portrait that only SS and NYRA's Saratoga Race Course has.
