I can't seem to find much info on Sarasota Springs - is there an FAQ or a thread already going?

I got a great AP rate for November on a Studio and I may want to make a location request. We stayed at POFQ last trip and SSR looks beautiful but huge so we would love to be fairly close the the main area with restaurants and such if possible.

Any reports, reviews or recommendations on SSR, thanks!

Saratoga Springs is a DVC resort. Maybe there is info on the DVC board if you can't find it here with the search function. Since we don't do DVC I'm afraid I can't give you more help than that. :)

Thanks - I didn't find anything via search and I never thought about it being DVC. I will head over and read some of that thread -

We just got back and loved it! We had the 3BR villa, but my grandma stayed right down the hall in a Studio and she really enjoyed it. It was very nice too and plenty of room for 2 adults and even a baby IMO. We were in the Paddock which was just a bridge walk away from the main area where the restaurant and main pool were. We never went to the pool there though as we were right next to a great little one that wasn't busy at all.

We're DVC members and SSR is our "home" resort. We just love it. It is a large resort but everywhere you want to go is managable. We stayed in the Congress Park area and had an awesome view of Downtown Disney. We could even faintly hear the music from over there at night. If you want to be near the food and main pool I would request the Springs area. It is the closest but as I said anywhere you stay is not too bad of a walk. They have a good place to eat that serves Counter type food and also a fairly new sit down restaurant. The grounds are simply gorgeous and the pools are lovely as well. They have a neat race track themed pool in the new Grandstand area but I love the main pool. It is beautiful. The busses run good and you can walk or take a boat to DTD. The rooms are very nice. Very new. We stayed in a 2-bedroom and really liked having the washer and dryer and full kitchen right there. Our DS and DDIL were in a studio and it was spacious and pretty as well. Check out the pictures. I think you'll enjoy SSR. We were blown away the first time we saw it.
