Saran Wrap... Grrrr!

Glad to hear it's not just me who has trouble with Saran wrap. My mom never used it, but my MIL always does. Hers always seems to be perfect.

I gave up years ago and use press and seal or foil!

Defintely try the Kirkland brand from Costco. It comes in a yellow box and the box lasts forever. It works great!!

Hmmm, I may have to check that out our next trip to Costco. Thanks for the tip. :)

I typically just use foil, because I get so frustrated with saran wrap.

They still make Saran Wrap?? That stuff is impossible to use. I gave up on it about 35 years ago.

Bit of a funny story involving "the stuff" as Saran Wrap is now known in our family. My DD had a family picnic this past Mother's Day. As we (her, me, and her MIL) were cleaning up, she mentioned that she was "Saran Wrap impaired," :rotfl: and asked us what the trick was to using the stuff. Almost in unison, her MIL and I replied, "don't buy the stuff!"

I don't know who she knows that used it, she certainly never saw it in my kitchen, and evidently not in her MIL's either.

Thanks all! I tried wrapping the entire platter... still didn't work. I am so DONE with Saran wrap. Will try the Glad Press 'n Seal next time - thanks for the recommendation!!

You will love Press 'n Seal! I absolutely hate Saran Wrap so I gave up on it for a while and only used foil until I found P&S. I have used it since and I love it!

The most recent thing I love almost as much are the crock pot liners. They are great for an easy clean up in the kitchen! :)

Agreed!

My absolute favorite is the Reynolds Nonstick Pan Lining Paper. Never wash a nasty, crusty casserole dish again!

OP, I"m with you. I've never been able to get the hang of Saran Wrap. My MIL uses it and it sticks like glue. I try to use it and it sticks to nothing.

I'm an aluminum foil girl all the way.

I am so glad I'm not the only one that can't figure out saran wrap! I feel so much better now!! :grouphug:
