Just wanted to day Hi! :wave2: and glad you are feeling better. I think you have done such a wonderful job so far - keep up the good work but don't forget to be kind to yourself, that flu bug is the worst!
Hey, I noticed we are both going to be in WDW this December - I can't wait!! - what dates are you planning to go?
 
We are headed to WDW from 12/23 - 12/31... We have to wait for all of our new teacher calendars to come out! My DH, brother and myself are all teachers and so is my Dad but he is retiring this june! It is family christmas trip and we are all really looking forward to it!


I am definitely feeling better. I did take dd ice skating (it was her 1st time) and boy was I whipped after... I think it is going to take some time to get full energy back!

Well after not eating a whole lot last week DH decides to bring pizza home... Some help he is! SO today I will go grocery shopping, and plan the meals for the week. If he wants to sabaotge himself, that is fine, but he is not going to sabatoge me!!!!

I think I am going to have to do small exercize until all of my oomph is back... I want to exercize, but I lso don't want to wear myself out to the point of sickness again...

Oh, we will just miss you! We are going Dec 12-21st! :(
BTW I think bending down holding a little one's hands, picking her up repeatedly, and skating backwards is definitely good exercise!

We just did about 20 minutes each day.. Don't worry.. I am resting and taking it easy... Back to school today! Today is my H&^% day!!!! I HATE MONDAYS!!! I see way too many kids!

On we go!
 
Jen--Congrats on not letting your husband sabatoge you. I'm having the same trouble with my husband, but I'm not quite as good at resisting the temptation. I'm so impressed that you are able to keep up with exercise and eating while you are teaching. I am planning on returning to teaching next year, but I'm worried about how I will be able to eat healthy and exercise. I know what you mean about Mondays, especially when you're seeing lots of kids.
 
Hi Jen - Glad to hear you are better this week. Skating sounds like a great workout. It probably doesn't feel like a workout because your having fun, that's the best kind of exercise. :)

Keep up the great work and way to go resisting the pizza. :thewave:

Hi Jen - I'm glad your doing better. This is such a bad time of year with the kids and everyone else getting sick. Try and take it easy with the exercise until you feel 100%... it'll take you longer to fully recover if you don't.

Your trip at Christmas sounds like it'll be a blast. We'll enjoy counting down with you this coming year :teeth:
 
I am grasping to our Christmas trip... It definitely brightens the gloomy winter days...It will be fun to have a count down buddy!!!!

We have an excellent week weather wise.. sunny and in the 30's!!! I took DD skating again after school... It was only her 3rd day and she was skating on her double blades with out me and without holding on to a cone! I am really proud of her as she is only 3 1/2!!! We ended up staying almost an hour and she really pitched a fit when it was time to go home!

I know I am still recovering from this darn bug as I was in bed and asleep at 7:30 last night... I put dd into bed and then I got into mine... DH thinks I am nuts but I was really wiped out!!! I actually felt that way at lunch! Monday is my tough teaching day as I see over 280 kids in one day! It is a lot of energy to expend!

I am plugging away on the low carb.. I ate a small handfull of M and m's yesterday.. Total stress reaction... I'm not beating myself up about it though... With all the dancing I am doing with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders I have been neglecting to count that as exercize!

You had 280 kids yesterday???!! Wow! No wonder why you were tired! ;) That is so awesome that your DD can skate at 3 1/2! :cool1: I'm turning 30 this year and I still have a hard time ice skating! I can roller skate, but ice skating is a totally different thing! :teeth:

I'm so glad you are feeling better. The ice skating with your daughter sounds fun. I know we had fun skating this weekend, of course, I fell more than I skated.

You are smart to take things slowly right now. Listen to your body, and you'll be 100% soon.

When your daughter is done learning to skate, do you think she could teach me? I have a problem with skates. I guess they prefer to see me on my bottom versus my feet. :rolleyes:

All I can say is thank goodness it is wedensday!!!

My neice has 3 strains of the flu and also now has pnuemonia.. DD played with her on Friday. I hope she doesn't get sick again!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! It is so nice to meet so many friends....but so hard to stop by everybody's journal. I am working on getting better at that though. I ahve no idea how you guys get to so many!!

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling quite up to par. Those early nights of sleep are wonderful aren't they?
