see i promised i would be back. your salad does look yummy although i admit it i am not a healthy eater at all i would have had fries. i am like you i have a plan laid out when i am at disney and i like people to do what i say. and then when they want to veer from the plan i dont want to make them feel bad but i promise you will have a better time if you listen to me. lol. anyway i am glad your friends cheered up after the show. it is so hard to go with people who are not into planning and disboards and stuff. if only they knew what we knew:lmao:

You did come back! :)

I did TRY to eat healthy! I do try! :)

I was so busy last night trying to work out rooms for my December trip that I was not able to do anything on this TR. I know...tsk, tsk! And my next two nights I have Lauren...so it will be this weekend before I am able to do more on this one... Sorry guys!!!!

I was still feeling pretty crummy. :headache: But it was time to go to EPCOT!!! Oh, I was so excited! We have gotten SO MUCH DONE! Thank you, touring plan! :cool1:

Since I was feeling so bad, we made a quick stop by First Aid at MK and both Amy and I got an antacid. I was surprised that this was just given to us for FREE! So, if the food bothers you…you can always visit First Aid. :thumbsup2

We headed to the monorail. Still feeling sick. But I was determined to keep on going. AND I wanted to ride in the front! :cloud9: I have never done this (since Lauren has to ride in the back.) Someone was already in the front of the first monorail, so we waited for the next one.

Here it comes!!!

SarahDWTrip462.jpg

The inside of the front...

SarahDWTrip463.jpg

Our driver, Rebecca, was very nice!

SarahDWTrip467.jpg

And Sarah and Amy...love this picture!!!

SarahDWTrip465.jpg

But, can we be honest here, I stopped taking pictures at this point. :sad2: I was so nauseated. I was not sure if I was going to make it to the monorail stop. And I must have looked pretty  because Sarah and Amy were concerned. :upsidedow And the driver got concerned, too! :scared1: But not as concerned as me. The front of the monorail is NOT a place to be sick. No trash cans in sight! But I made it!!! :cool1:

The trip to Epcot was so cool in the front of the monorail. :thumbsup2 I think riding in the front of any monorail would be cool, but this trip – MK to Epcot - It was extra cool because you get to go all around Epcot and see the Future World from the monorail!

I highly recommend making this trip in the front of the monorail, if you have not had the chance! I will have to do it again…since I was concentrating on not getting sick and probably missed some of the magic. continued in next post...

thank you for the 1/2 update. :thumbsup2
although I am one to talk aren't I? Think I will pay a visit to my own trip report. ;)

I made it to Epcot…through the turnstiles and stopped to buy a very expensive Sprite. I felt almost instantly better! :yay: We grabbed a map. I was not prepared for Epcot today. :sad2: I had not been in YEARS and had not looked at the map at all.

First, we had to stop at the ball and take a picture. It was here that we had another "Sarah Moment"... She wanted us to take her picture "holding" the ball.

SarahDWTrip473.jpg

This cracked us up because she really thought this picture would turn out with her "holding" the big ball!! :rotfl: I miss Sarah! :sad1:

Here's the real thing...

SarahDWTrip474.jpg

We decided we should try to do Soarin – but the line was very long! Same with Test Track. :sad2: So, we decided to do World Showcase for the afternoon and hit Future World tomorrow (we have a lunch ressie at Coral Reef anyway, so we would be back!) :thumbsup2

We decided to do something a little different and take the ferry across the World Showcase Lagoon and go around the WS from there. We landed at Morocco and made our way around the World Showcase (going toward Mexico). I know we missed some countries, but they just wanted to do the short tour, really.

We walked around Japan. The shops were cool! The coolest part was the pearl display! I had entertained the idea of picking my own pearl, but decided I should probably save my money for my next trip! Ok, trips! :goodvibes

But here are some pics for those of you that are interested…

SarahDWTrip478.jpg

This lady got a 7mm pearl!

Next up...America! Amy got a funnel cake with no powdered sugar. Now, I thought this was a little strange. :confused3 Isn’t the powdered sugar the best part? ::yes:: But I did take a bite…ok, I took more than one!...and it was pretty good! Even without all of that sugar! Sarah got some ice cream. I grabbed a Sprite. I was feeling better, but was not going to chance it by getting something big.

Eventually we ended up in Germany. I never would have thought to get a pretzel. They didn’t really look that good, honestly. But I was a little hungry. And I figured the bread and salt would be ok for my stomach! So, I took the advice of a good DIS friend (thank you, TK!) and got a pretzel. She wisely told me to only get it from Germany! :thumbsup2

First of all, the CM was so sweet. She saw my Make a Wish shirt I was wearing this day and said that she volunteered at Give Kids the World! :yay: It was like we instantly understood each other. I almost literally cried right there. I told her thank you for volunteering her time at a place that is so special to us! She had tears in her eyes, too. You can tell she really loves GKTW! So, I was so glad to buy a pretzel from her. I even bought another Sprite! :thumbsup2

And I remembered to get a picture!

This this is BIG (hence the full picture size!) I ended up sharing it with Sarah and Amy and we all had plenty.

SarahDWTrip494.jpg

Now, I LOVED this pretzel! I am not sure if the CM picked out the very best one for me or if they are all that good? But this one was great. And it was HUGE. This is a big plate and it filled it right up! It was sweet, buttery and salty all at the same time. Amy and Sarah shared some, too – and they agree – it was GOOD! Yum!

While we were enjoying our pretzel…I enjoyed a people watching moment. I even took a picture of it.

So here is the question…what is this?

thank you for the 1/2 update. :thumbsup2
although I am one to talk aren't I? Think I will pay a visit to my own trip report. ;)

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Yeah!!! Go work on your own trip report!!! (Said with lots of sarcasm!)

I did finally finish! :) It took a while to edit that last post! :) I thought I was ready to post it...and then I wasn't...and then the phone rang...you know the drill!

Aw, I got a little shout out! Seriously, is that not the best pretzel ever? It's my favorite, and thanks for the big ole photo! I so wish I was in Epcot right now. :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling so well, but glad it passed relatively quickly and that there was no yakkin' in the monorail.

Not a good Disney memory. :lmao:

;) So glad to see you took time out from making your many reservations to do some posting on your report!! ;)

Thank goodness for the Sprite!!

Kathy

OK, I'm back. What is up with the DIS tonight? Took me forever to update my TR. hint, hint.

Pretzel in Germany. That is going on the list. I looooove  pretzels. Did they have the cinammon and sugar ones?

Glad you got to feeling better. I love riding in the front of the monorail. I thought they only let people with kids do it. :confused3 Good to know that anyone can.

It was a VERY good pretzel!! I seriously would have never thought to get one. And my tummy appreciated the sweet and salty!

He he!! :) Yeah...I was getting grief over here and had an unexpected "down" night...so I figured I would put it to good use!! :)

It took me a while to get mine to post...in fact, I thought I was going to lose that last post and about got upset. :)

I did see that you updated! Fancy that!!!! :)

I did not see cinnamon and sugar ones, but they could have them somewhere in Disney. These, though, would not have been good with cinnamon and sugar, honestly. They were perfectly sweet, buttery and salty! I wouldn't change a thing!! I have seen some dipped in some sort of white stuff and covered in almonds? :confused3

I almost didn't post since someone made a comment about everyone's post but mine. :sad1: JK!

Woo-hoo an update!

Glad that your stomach issues got better! We rode in the front of the monorail on our last trip. I was surprised at how cool and interesting it was! I think everyone should try it once if they are able to. Side note - only four people are allowed up front so since we had 5 more poor dad rode by himself with the regular folks. So make sure you have a plan if you have more than 4 people.

We let my DD do pick a pearl once and she loved it and still talks about it!

That pretzel looks awesome!

Hmmmm. . .what is that Grumpy on? You have to update soon so we know the answer Miss Cliffhanger!

OH NO!!! I forgot you. Gosh...that is so not nice!!!!

I am so sorry!! :sad2:

Woo-hoo an update!

Sorry Sarah was mad at you! Doesn't she know not to question the authority and planning of a DIS addict? :lmao:

I think the Jungle Cruise is boring too. Although some of the cheesy jokes are funny. I can't imagine waiting in line for it though.

I love Mickey's Philharmagic!

I hope your stomach troubles don't interfere with the evening plans - I am looking forward to reading about lots of parkhopping.

I am so glad to hear William is feeling better!

Ha ha on Sarah questioning the authortiy of a DIS addict! :lmao:

Yeah...I don't care for the Jungle Cruise!! :)

Mickeys Philharmagic is my favorite "show" sort of attraction! I love, love, love it!!!

Yeah...I pushed through my stomach issues, for the most part.

William is feeling better. And we heard on the news where pistachios are being blamed now and they eat a LOT of nuts at their house. So maybe we found the culpret.

Miss Cliffhanger...

That is funny!!!

You can't guess? lol I guess I will give you a break since I completely ignored you. :rolleyes1 Sorry bout that!

Mmmmm...I am a HUGE pretzel fan! That one looks SO yummy!! On your next trip, check out the pretzles in HS. They have fantastic stuffed pretzels! I had one stuffed with apples, cinnamon and sugar, and they also had spicy cheese stuffed ones too.

The monorail looks so fun! We need to go back so we can do that, although I don't know if they'd let a stroller in the front??

Sorry you felt sick. It is just not right to be sick in Disney!!

:yay: for getting to ride in the front!! :goodvibes

You sure are making this a very magical trip for your friends!!

I wish I could make a trip report! I know exactly what Sarah wanted you to do!! I think its easier when you are further from the ball - on the side of France? :confused3

sorry you got a tummy ache - dd swears that Beverly in Epcot's Club Cool helps that! AND she's serious!! :faint: We have to bring an empty water bottle for her to FILL it with Beverly! AND SHE DRINKS IT ALL!! :confused3
