I don't think anyone could have made up a more ridiculous public figure. As if her politics, the lack of brains, the $150,000 clothing spree, and the family weren't enough to send liberals (and conservatives) into fits of laughter, now she's going rogue according to McCain campaign sources. Talk about burning your bridges. Does she really think that people are going to forget 2008 by 2012?

Good try Sarah! Everytime I see her, I can't help but think of Nicole Kidman's character in To Die For.

You know, I'm almost going to miss her after 11/4.

what do you mean she has gone rouge??

I disgree with her on many issues...but I sure would not say she is stupid....

Well I would say wait till the FACTS come out, I never really buy into stories that use nothing but unnamed sources.

Thank goodness, the Dis hadn't met the quota for rude posts yet today. Thanks for helping out!

thanks that is what I thought.... and I say good for her....

I agree with you. She was badly mismanaged by the McCain campaign.

I'm voting for McCain-Palin, but McCain's campaign has been run atrociously more often than not. She shouldn't have been sequestered like she was. And she was absolutely right about Michigan. Announcing to the world you're pulling out of a state is stupid. Just plain stupid. Her commenting on it probably has some folks' noses bent out of joint because she made them look foolish. Which they were.

Frankly, from my perspective (that of a conservative), she's the one actually trying to win this race. McCain's people half the time act like they don't want to.

i guess repulbicans arent the only ones that put rubbish out on the dis boards. this post is almost as comical as those that say obama is a muslim. i guess both sides of the aisle are desperate.

Wow you are misinformed. :sad2: Why don't you read up on the wardrobe bought by the RNC. It is being donated to charity too. SP buys most of her personal clothes from consignment.

Yes NOW they decided to donate the clothes she wore and her hairstyles, really nice of them. But how do they donate hairstyles to charity???

Anyone else remember the free vacations McCain and his family took on Keatings private jet, AFTER he got caught he paid all the money back.

I saw (and read) this on CNN, and I have to say the first thing that came to mind was...in 2012, this woman is going to run for POTUS and say she out-mavericked The Maverick. :lmao:

I do agree that the McCain campaign didn't seem to know what to do with her when they picked her. It seems to me they should have made the decision a lot earlier, briefed her on national and international policy and McCain's record while the pick was still a secret, and then presented a well-informed and well-prepped VP candidate. They really just shoved her out into the public without any preparations and the fact that they rarely let her speak made anything she did say extremely closely scrutinized. If it's true that they were planning on a Ridge pick or someone different than her until the last minute, then there's really no way they could have prepared her...but if that were the case, perhaps they should have gone with their original choice. :confused3 I don't think the McCain campaign has been very well managed.

Funny how you can attack Sarah Palin so easily but I can't help but wonder what you would say if someone posted smack about Obama:confused3

Are you kidding? I don't guess you've read some of the conservative threads. And to answer your question, I wouldn't say anything. I figure it's their opinion and they're entitled to it. And when someone on the Obama side does something funny (Joe Biden, anyone?) I laugh too.

What's fair is fair. There have been much nastier things said about Obama than Sarah Palin. She is who she is. And who she is is funny, frankly. Why shouldn't I laugh? After 8 years of Bush, this big steaming plate of schadenfreude the McCain campaign keeps serving day after day is looking mighty good. I fully intend to enoy it.

Are they tryin' to rein in a Maverick? :drinking1

What did they expect?

And actualy, she's right, as much as I hate to agree with Palin, she was badly handled. McCain's campaign has no one to blame for this (and their likely defeat) but themselves.

In fairness, the one person I don't blame is McCain. I can't help but think that this was forced on him. He seems smarter than this.

I agree with all those that feel she was mishandled...

Imagine if she did the debates with out those two weeks of tutoring, SNL would be even better than it is now.
