SAPPHIRE FALLS thread........

Sapphire is a beautiful hotel and I’m sure you’d love the kids suite BUT … Sapphire does not include express passes. Since you don’t travel often to the parks, I’d highly recommend staying at Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino to get the included express passes. You’ll give up on space in the room (unless you book a kids suite there as well) but the trade off is very little wait for the rides. With express, there is little to no planning needed which is ideal for a newbie and a last minute trip. Portofino has the largest rooms of the three. Just my 2 cents. 😀
Thanks for the tips! I have been eyeing Royal Pacific as well although the space of the kids suite would be hard to give up. We did the Polynesian with four of us for our last trip in 2017, but I know the Poly has some of the largest rooms at Disney. So, I think we could make a 2 Queen work at a Premiere hotel if needed. It might make a difference on who is coming with us and I don't know that yet. If it's my SD, then no big deal, she's family. If we bring one of my DD's friends, it would be another girl age 12 and they might prefer some privacy and not staying in the same room as my husband.

Posting pictures from my phone, and I'm not the most tech-savvy, so apologize in advance for size, issues, etc.
This was the view from our recent stay at SF last week. Room 3825. It was tower 3, which was super convenient to the water taxi/walkway. Checked in a little after 1 PM,and room was ready. Just a standard room, but was very comfortable. I personally like a tub or tub/shower combo, and this room only has the shower. Coffee pot was Keurig style, and worked! I brought my own pods. beds were super comfortable. Didn't make the time to visit the pool.....maybe one day, we were only there 1 night. Very easy to use parking garage, find spaces, etc. Another very nice stay at SF.

We like big pictures!!!!

Thanks for posting them and your experience of your stay and glad you had a nice visit at Sapphire Falls :)

Has anyone tried booking online recently? When I get to the final step and hit the RESERVE button, I get an Oops! message. I’ve tried many times.

Ive not had any issues, but I do recall someone posting something similar - maybe try a different browser.
If you have a VPN try to disconnect it

Strange question. But does anybody know how many bottles of Fiji water there are in the room when you check in? Thanks.

We stayed at Sapphire in Feb for the Mardi Gras meetup and had such a fabulous time at SF! Beautiful resort, loves staying in tower 3, so close to the boat dock and at the end of a long day/night so easy to go to the room.

If we do not need express passes we would absolutely stay here again. The TM’s were wonderful and we just really enjoyed our stay.

Can I bring a baby float into the pool? I’ll be there with an 8 month old

Yes I believe so. Need swim diapers of course. There’s also a shallow part of the pool with gradual entry perfect for splashing around.
I float around on a pool noodle! So can’t see why they wouldn’t allow a baby float.

We stayed for 7 nights at the start of July.
A beautiful resort, the smell is amazing.

We had a lagoon view room with a bath tub, I do prefer the walk in shower rooms but not a big deal. The room was lovely. Beds were extremely comfortable.

Pool area is also beautiful, it was busy most days but no issue getting a seat.

Food wise we ate a la carte breakfast at Amatista, snacks from Dutch trading and drinks from Strongwater.

I’m not a huge fan of Dutch trading and generally nipped across to Aventura Starbucks for my drinks where I also got annual pass discount. IMG_7810.jpegIMG_7811.jpegIMG_7812.jpeg

We are also huge fans of Aventura, Sapphire Falls was great for the summer resort vibe but back to Aventura for HHN.

Has anyone recently received an early check-in? We really need access to the room around 1pm, and are willing to take a less desirable location. I'm also willing to try Royal Pacific if my chances there are better. Thanks for any advice!

What time of year are you going? It’ll really depend on how full the hotel is at the time. We went recently in August and our room was ready a little earlier than check in time, it might have been sooner but we didn’t get there at 1 so idk. It wasn’t a busy time for the hotel and rooms were still available online to book. Also during the week. A weekend and during a more popular time might make it difficult

I have received an early check-in. Arrived at 10:30 AM expecting to drop my luggage at the desk and head to the park. Room was ready.

As FSU Girl asked; it will depend on when you are going.

Sorry, I'll be there the Saturday before Thanksgiving, one night. We're going to the OI meetup and hoping desperately for a nap first.

It might not help, but you can call the hotel and have it added to your reservation that you`ll be arriving early and will take a room in any location of the hotel, can`t hurt to do it.

Hope you`re lucky and get the room early, there is always a chance.

We recently got back from an unexpected stay at Sapphire falls due to Hurricane Helene. We brought our pets with us and stayed in two rooms. The Mobility room was actually nice with low beds (easy to get into) and a very nice shower area. My elderly parents were pleased. My Dad loved the view of the theme parks. The dog enjoyed the pet area. The cats not so much. One of my cats found an excellent place to hide in the room for several days. We managed to get her out eventually. They don't usually travel and I was not going to leave them at the house.

The staff was great and thanks to the manager for working with us. There was issues with the distance of the room from the lobby but the elevator was close. My only complaint is food options. Thank god for Aventura and Cabana Bay.

This was a not a vacation. Just an attempt to move out of the path of a Hurricane that was going to have severe impact and get two elderly people in an area where we could get them care if needed.
