SAP+ ?

Maybe a 25 min walk from Poly Tower to MK? I'm guessing. Certainly doable for some.
It will be tough to say. Again, I'm probably in the minority as I'm a fast walker, but it took me about 9-10 minutes to get back to Grand Floridian (property, not actually the VGF building) from MK so maybe add another ~8 minutes to Island Tower would be my best guess assuming the paths are pretty straightforward. 🤷‍♂️

The snakes are there to help keep the rats under control. As long as they can see you, they'll be happy to get out of your way.

PS years ago, that section of path under the bridge wasn't fenced and just kind of sloped into the water. I think one of the boat captains said something about the gators liking to sleep up there at night. The waterside at the Studios boat dock also used to slope gently into the water, and the ducks could waddle from the water up to the sidewalk. There was even a dispenser to buy food for the ducks, and our kids loved to feed them! It's a lot different now. It would be a lot harder for a gator to get up anywhere near the sidewalk as well as a lot harder for anyone to fall in.

I’m a fast walker in general but fairly certain I’ve set personal bests on that path 🤣🤣

I am officially too scared to walk anywhere in FL now….

My observations from our DVC tour this month. All 1 Beds apart from Poly.

Stayed at CCV. Noisy (people, boats, EWP). Didn't like balcony facing others across the central yard. Too small. Kitchen is dark.
Stayed at OKW. Loved the peace and quiet after the parks, and room sizes and two couches. Buses to parks but not too long.
Stayed at AKL - Kidani Village. Hated the walk to rooms at far end. Second only to Mao's Long March. Filthy room. Two toilets is good. Crying baby in next room reminded me of early parenthood (loud)! Loud child echoed around the savannah!
Stayed at Poly. Rooms too small for more than 2 adults. Uncomfortable couch. Paper plates and plastic cutlery felt cheap. Too busy. Need break from park. EWP spoiled by bungalows blocking head of parade. Great fireworks view.
Stayed at BWV. Good food options but mostly too expensive. Too noisy at night. Walk to HS in just 15 mins with dodgy hip. No bus to main Epcot entrance.

Visited GFV. Too sterile. Crowded, busy and noisy - probably due to Gingerbread House.
Visited Contemporary. Giant convention centre.
Visited Riviera. Noisy. Sterile. Corporate. Only really good for Skyliner.
Visited SSR. Didn't like warehouse sized public rooms or shop shared with cafe. Didn't like golfing-types (and that was just the buggy driving CM).

Now I've probably upset most people, I'll grab my coat.

Hey uh, you sure you like DVC? 😅

Good question. I like to do my research. I wanted to find the best resort for a family group vacation before paying stupid amounts of money for multiple rooms. It validated our choice of OKW. It has the right size, value and amount of Disney immersiveness.

Obviously this is highly personal but I thought that it may help others.

Just goes to show there’s something out there for everyone. OKW is our personal resort of last resorts. We found the interior dated and was not a fan of the internal bus loop and sprawling nature of the resort and then add the lack of elevators aside from a select few buildings. What some people call peaceful, others might say that’s just poor location with bus only transportation. I did find your critique of the resorts pretty funny though tbh. Just different strokes for different folks 😊

That is studio life with the dishes :)

All of the couches will pretty much be the same as Poly’s now except for probably OKW do to all of the windows.

I agree the couches are not comfortable but the Murphy bed is better for sleeping so it is a trade off.
