Can anyone tell me if they know of any place within WDW property where they have a Santa for the kids. I have a friend of mine who is asking, and frankly I couldn't answer their question.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Brian

I have read that Santa is at Downtown Disney. I don't know that for sure. Hopefully one of our DIS Christmas vets can jump in and have a clearer answer.

Last Christmas we saw Santa at the American Pavillion in the World Showcase. He and the Mrs. was there to take pictures with just like at the mall.

Outside in Downtown Disney is where you can have pictures taken with santa. The American Pavillion also has santa and The Canadian Pavillion also has a lumberjack type santa.

Yes we saw Santa at DTD close to the lego store. You can bring your own camera and take pics too.

During 2001, many of the countries in EPCOT had representations
of their holiday symbol(s) and traditions.

My DD who had just turned 6 at the time really enjoyed the different stories and people. All the events were listed on the daily guide map.

Santa was in the American pavillion.

were fantastic last year. Isabella had only lived with us a few weeks when we took her to WDW. She'd been told before coming to us (at the age of 4 1/2 ) that Santa didn't exist (because her mother had money for cocaine but not for Christmas presents the year before, I guess). She was amazed when we told her we believed in Santa and would show him to her. I will never forget the look on her face on that rainy day when she spied both Mr and Mrs Santa and went running pell mell through the rain to see them. They were incredible - wouldn't Santa at Disney be, you ask? I have a picture of her with them that makes my heart skip a beat. She's never questioned Santa's existence since....... heck I believe she met the real Santa and his wife! I hope your friend can find them there this year.

Thank you all for your responses. This was a big help. I knew my fellow DIS members would come through in a pinch.

crazyforgoofy...that is a wonderful memory. Kudos to you for reinstilling the Christmas spirit in a child who obviously had it taken away from them.

I hope you check back on this thread one more time! Why? Because the Santa at ECPOT is far superior to the one at Downtown Disney.

The EPCOT Santa and Mrs. Claus are as real as you and I! I think they believe they are Santa - and with their attitudes, I would never quesion them!!! They are wonderful, they look great, the beard is real, the fat tummy is real and the laugh is real!

The Santa at DD had a real beard, but his attitude wasn't anything like Santa. He told my husband while my daughter was on his lap that he was from Nebraska!!! He didn't even really pretend to be Santa! He was just a guy doing a job. (He wasn't mean or anything, but he wasn't 'into' his character either.)

Have a great Santa experience - go to the American Pavillion at EPCOT!

If I may pose another question in conjunction w/ the op....

Is Santa visiting the American Pavillion throughout all of December, certain days, 1/2 of December? Thanks!

And, thank you Brian for asking the question!
