Anyone ever flown into Sanford Airport? Whats the best way to get to a Disney Hotel from there? I'm assuming that Disney does not have any shuttle service from Sanford?

Your options basically are cab, car/van service or rental car. Cabs are close to $100 +/- each way. Car/van service a bit more.

I loved flying into Sanford!! It's a wonderful, user-friendly airport. I have been picked up by a car service there, but find that getting a rental car is the best way to go. The drive to WDW is very straightforward and easy. Takes about 50 mins.
The car rental counters are just past the baggage claim area. In fact, the last time we flew into Sanford, I headed directly to the car rental counter, while everyone else got their bags. I watched them get their bags and head over to the rental area. I was just finishing up my paperwork when they arrived. We walked out the door, crossed the street and got into our car and drove away....took less than 30 mins after landing!!!

Flying into Sanford Airport and want to rent from a company with cars for pick up at the airport. Are the rental company parking lots located at the Sanford airport. I don't want to be shuttled to another location to pick up the car. Any recommendations are appreciated?

We have used Alamo in the past at MCO but this will be the first time flying into Sanford.

Thank you.

Alamo is right out the door of the terminal. I don't know about the other providers, though. I picked up our family there and it is a very easy airport to get around.

The car rental counters are about a 30 second walk from baggage claim. Then, you turn around, and walk out the door, cross the street and the lots are right there. We have rented with Budget and the lot is across that street. And when I say 'street', we are not talking major thoroughfare here...it's just a regular street, so no problem crossing on foot.

Thanks for the quick response, good to know. The Alamo pricing is still very high but I'll keep watching. Want to be sure if I book through another company, it is an easy pick up at the airport.
