Sanford to Port Canaveral

Does anyone know the easiest way to get back to Sanford Airport after getting off of the cruise ship at Port Canaveral? We are doing a few days at Disney before hand so I'm going to rent a car when we get to Florida. Just wondering the easiest way to get back to Sanford. Thanks for your help.

Yes it is very easy to get to Sanford from Port Canveral.

You just go out the port and follow the signs to I-95. Go north on I-95 to highway 46, ext 223. It will be just a few exits north of where you got on to I-95. 46 will take right to the airport in Sanford. It is about 28 miles to the Airport from I-95. This is the straightest road you will very go on. This route will show you the area as it looked before Disney. You will go past 2 or 3 swamps.
Watch for Flamingos in the swamps. We saw 2 different flocks of flamingos one evening. I was expecting them to be the color that you see at the zoos but these were lighter in color. Very beautiful.

Don't get discouraged that I am sending you on a wild 'flamingo' chase. This is the most direct route to the Sanford Airport.
