SANDRA'S DAY 2 ~ MK, Cindy's and MORE!

DAY 2 ~
SUNDAY, APRIL 21

Mickey wake up call at 6:15am! WOW! I just love that part! Beautiful weather the entire 11 days! We hit the road about 7am for CINDY'S PS at 8:05am. I think we were the 7th car in the parking lot! Parked about 7:20am and walked to TTC. Cindy's was great as usual! Loved seeing the kids faces as they walk up Main Street USA and see the castle! We meet up with a DISER FAMILY! Kathy and Sarah! What a great way to start a trip! CINDY's food was great ~ I love the potatoes and french toast! We saw Mary Poppins, Jasmine (she was a hoot!), Belle, Snow White and Cinderella! We finished up just in time for the Fantasyland rope drop. LOTS OF RIDES: Peter Pan, Small World, Snow White, Dumbo, Carousel ~ a little break at that café with the singing dude Sonny Eclipse, that guy cracks me up! Then a round on the Tea Cups! TOONTOWN to see MICKEY of course! There was a bunch of characters in the area, we meet Gov. John Ratcliffe, White Rabbit, Pinocchio, Queen of Hearts, Rafiki, Baloo, Gideon and MORE! Off to Tomorrowland for a quiet spin on TTA, then Space Mtn,and Buzz Lightyear! We took a nice break at CSR that afternoon. We had a light bite of lunch in the room. DH and DD went for a swim while DS and I rested in the room. The oddest feeling came over me while a rested. I just wasn't prepared for the "ALL OF A SUDDEN I AM IN WDW AFTER A VERY EMOTIONAL AND HECTIC MONTH!" I started wondering if going to WDW was the right thing to do at that time. The feeling lasted about 30 minutes and went away FOREVER! It took a day or two to REALLY get into the vacation. AND I DID GET INTO THE VACATION!!!!! A whole bunch of Spectro Magic's and Fantasy in the Sky were added last week! We went back to MK around 4:30pm and ate at Peco's Bill's. It was prefect! DS was still getting his vacation legs and we needed a noisy outlet for him. We all enjoyed Peco's Bills. Off we went to more rides! Splash Mtn, Big Thunder Mtn, Bear Jamb, Jungle Cruise, Aladdin! About 8pm we found ourselves in front of the Xmas Shop and planted ourselves for Spectro Magic! It was the BEST spot! We saw EVERYTHING UP CLOSE! The fireworks were magic and they added a GRAND FINALE which was soooooo GREAT! We got back to CSR about 10:30pm and CRASHED! Excellent day at MK! More to come!!!!!!

Wow Sandra, you sure fit a lot into the one day! AND you managed to take a break. What were the crowds like?

I'd love to do a character meal one day; it sounds like Cindy's was great!

There's something magical about watching Spectromagic and then Fantasy in the Sky, isn't there. And then to add a Grand Finale! I bet they did it just for you!

it all.......we did a MK day with the fireworks and spectomagic.......the day just seems to revolve around that doens't it.......we did MG and Fantasmic on Sunday evening and I still can not believe the incredibly wonderful weather we had........thanks so much for your report and I am anxious for the next ones.......

WOW!!! Sandra - I wonder if we ran into each other at all? My boyfriend and I stayed at CSR from the 19th to the 23rd too! PLUS I went to Cindy's breakfast with my friend from home on the 21st, 8:05 AM PS too! Plus we were at the Fantasyland rope drop too! It really is a small world, huh?

We weren't too thrilled with CSR either. We thought it was too big and we hated the Pepper Market. Also, we found the transportation to be abysmal. Our housekeeper was probably the best one we've ever had at WDW though. She actually cleaned the bathroom every day, whereas every other time we've stayed there, we've only gotten towels left and the beds made.

WOW! Luvpooh! "It's a small world after all" oops, sorry! LOL! What did you think of Cindy's? I like it there. We have started our last three trips with Cindy's. I liked the CSR, but I kept comparing it to am AMAZING trip last year at CBR. Which probably isn't fair to CSR. On it's own it's very nice. I think I would have better comments of Pepper Market is my kids were older, the hours were longer, the drink area was open all night and it wasn't lined up out the door at breakfast. We used the little take-out window several times for coffee instead of going right in. Our first night at CSR, we ventured to Pepper Market, ds was tired and getting noisy so dh took him outside for a walk. We didn't let the situation get out of hand, as soon as ds's volume increased, dh left with him so I could eat, dh and ds returned and dh and dd enjoyed dinner while I took a nice stroll around the lake. The next day I went to the Pepper Market and 4 staff there made comments about remembering me because of my noisy son. I was embarassed and never returned in the Pepper Market with my son, only my daughter. I thought the 4 were a little rude about the situation since we are the type to remove our children from the restaurant if they can't be quiet. The two ladies at the window were rude often too, they seemed frazzled and confused all the time and it wasn't ever busy at the window. I did enjoy two of the cooks sense of humours, got a few haha's with them, really enjoyed it. My kids are better suited for CBR food court. AKL counter service was great since they had a TV on with TOY STORY 2, ds fav movie, now that was a quiet dinner LOL! I think when my kids are older, Pepper Market will be better for us. The food was good.

I loved the pools! And the laundry was easy to get to and complete. I met a nice lady from St.Louis in the laundry!
