well, it's not really sandbagging, but i've noticed a new trend in the fireworks remix. it seems to me that people are starting to drop out of the game when it is clear that they are not going to win. i figure that people are going for wins to get more gold pins, and if they are not in position to win, they quit. this has happened to me on multiple occasions. it kinda irratates me because i like the competition, and it isn't much fun when the person closest to you is down by over 1000 points...

Well, I know a lot of people who (like myself) wanted green car, and when you don't get a certain amount of point, just leave. It is half luck now to get it, and if you don't quit (I did about 10 times first round) you don't get the car.

I always play through now. If I've alerady invested my time in a couple of levels I'll want to finish it for the credits.

I now do this too, just wanted to show that 'green car-ers' leave for the sake of time. I go and get the credits now, and just go for a high score (have to be 5900!)

If I don't break 1,000 after level 1, or if I see I'm playing an overly skilled player, I start over.

It is not half luck to get the green car. It takes a lot of work and a skilled player. (And, no, I do not have a green car - nor am I even dreaming of getting one.)

I have to agree with PhiloftheFuture. Most of the games I play I see a lot of people dropping out after the first or second round - especially if there's a really great player playing. I would assume it's because of the ten-win deal with the Gold Pin. For me? If I drop out it's because I'm really trying to get a top score and have messed up enough by the end of round two that I don't have a score I want to have by that point in time. However, most of my games I don't drop out - especially when I play the best players - it's a lot of fun to play against them and challenge myself.

I've dropped out of 3 games...

One was because at the end of the first stage of round 1 I only had 129 points and that really is a bad score lol

another was because I had a phone call

And one- I had 1-2 games left to get gold pin and I was playing with people who were getting 7000+ points at the end of the game- after 3 rounds of me trying to wait around for a different game and still ending up in a game with them- I dropped out of a game and played the next round- one and got my gold pin-

and I did sandbag for my bronze pin lol- I got my first fireworks pin playing on one of the kids' characters and so from then it was harder not to to 4400 and I wanted the bronze pin too lol

Me too. Why waste that 7 or 8 minutes and have nothing to show for it

Hmm, Well, I think Fireworks Remixed is So WORSE No Offense Yavn, then the old one, but i have something for all of you, HAUNTED MANSION Rofl! NaH Just Kidding

Heh...my friends know I quit games now and then...and why not? I'm trying for my best score. Not only that, if I have a low score I won't get as many credits. If I have a great score but I'm in second place, I'll usually keep playing. If my start is a little slow and I'm in first place, I'll usually stick it out just to advance for my pin. I quit games before in the old fireworks game -- I don't see what the difference is. I don't think I should continue playing if my score is no good? JMO~ :goodvibes

Well now that I have my green car I will be stopping less. :-)

I can play a fairly relaxed game and score around 400-480 credits so to me it's worth it, esp when my pirate pal is afk...

If I tank in the first round I will quit... cant help it, but once I get over that hump, I will be good to go.

Well, I say, keep on quitting! It gives me a chance to make it to the top five and play the last round. That means more credits for me. :thumbsup2

I'm struggling with timing my clicks to get flawless. I do ok but usually wait too long and end up not getting the firework. Until I get the timing down, I really don't have much reason to quit. I have quit a couple of games due to being distracted enough to miss a round but other than that, I like to continue playing. That and I'm doing the Port Orleans pin quest as I go through my various personalities. I figure if I have earned 500 points I might as well finish the game.

I really like the new version of fireworks, I'm just not good at it yet. I did win a bronze pin with YoHoEmpty but that's the best I have done so far.

Why would anyone care if other players quit? I did it often when trying for the green car. Now that I have it, I just play for whatever credits I get. But I can't imagine anyone being upset if I left a game. People bailed out all over the place when I played with Stichers yesterday. I am glad that I hung in there because he scored over 8000! I felt like I was part of something historic!!!

That is cool - I love to play with Stichers too just to see what he can do. :) I will quit too - but not after round three too much at stake then - unless I am distracted by my kids.

Me too, but I take it one step further. If my score is less than 300 after level one, stage one, I quit. It doesn't matter to me anymore. I got my gold pin, I got my green car. The game holds nothing more for me.

Of course, despite the reduced credits, it still gives me a higher payout than any other game, so I still play it anyway.

(And I also had to sandbag for my bronze pin. I got my silver before my bronze :rotfl: )

The only part I'm saying is luck is the fact that some of the time you can hit both, and sometimes only one. I know for a fact almost all of it is skill, just pointing out that luck kicks in because of the so called 'random' fireworks.
