We say "you guys" It's gender-neutral "guys" around here. Don't know why.

DH's family from Johnstown/Pittsburgh says "Yuns" sometimes but the thing that drives me nuts is when they say "the car needs washed" YOU FORGOT "TO BE"!!!!! I'm sort of a grammar/spelling freak and that makes me crazy!

Anyway - nice that you got to enjoy SAB without crowds and noise!
Too bad that bus/train transportation stressed you out. I get like that too - I hate when a monorail stops or bus takes too long to come. But, you got to enjoy your rides! Finally got to MK!! I've heard more talk about not-so-sweet CMs lately. The DIS Unplugged podcast team has discussed it too. Like they didn't train the CMs in having a nice attitude!

Hope the rain didn't last all night for you!

Kind of wishing I had a cupcake now. OR fajitas.

That's great that you were given a variety of room choices and that you ended up with a really nice view!



The CM who told you there is normally a charge of $15 per night for the rollaway was wrong. We have been told on the Yacht & Beach FAQ thread that the cots are provided free of charge, based on availability.

I did a sleep in day my last trip back in 2009. I went to typhoon lagoon for most of the day and went to DAK in the evening as I had a latish dinner reservation at Tusker house. After that I went over to the MK and had a some what rainy evening there. I actually saw the storm coming across the seven seas lagoon.

Yep, SAB was nice and quiet that morning.

The whole getting to BTMRR on time thing was so stupid and stressful! How unpleasant.

Welcome! Yes, it was very nice to be given room choices. That has never happend before!

I know the YC & BC FAQ says that there is not a fee for a cot, but I have read several reports of people being charged $15 a night. The nasty housekeeping people told me that on the phone and then the front desk CM's said it too - but that they were waving it. So IDK what is actually the case.

We really did enjoy SAB so much more this time. That time we stayed at the BC it was just a complete zoo every time we went.

Yeah, WDW transportation was definitely not at its best that day.

Pretty soon the FP kiosks will be a thing of the past. Everything will be linked to your magic band. It will be your room key, used for charging (if you put a credit card on file), your DDP will be on it if you have it, and your fastpasses will be on it. And you will be able to choose them a few months in advance of your trip. It's really pretty neat! You can change them in the parks, or the night before in your room if you have internet access. If you want more info just PM me. I can send you some links! You'll need to read up on it before next October!!

Yes, at least we got on BTMRR with no problems!

After the Haunted Mansion we had a little time to kill before our last FP+ for the Little Mermaid at 4-5:00. So we headed into Fantasyland. Peter Pan had a huge line. We weren't feeling IASW right now, so we went over to Philharmagic! I just love this show!!

When we were done there we headed for the Little Mermaid ride.

We walked up to the FP entrance and the CM announces to us (and we found this to be the case several times throughout the week) – THIS IS THE FP ENTRANCE, THE STANDYBY ENTRANCE IS OVER THERE, and she pointed to the regular entrance. We then held up our bands and she said – oh, you have the bands, tap them here.... Yeah, we know the drill!! I think the CM's are not used to seeing the bands yet and when they see someone walking towards the FP entrance without a paper FP they tend to get their panties in a bunch!!

But anyway – we had a wonderful journey under the sea. I really like this ride!

From there we walked over towards Be Our Guest. It had stopped raining, but the skies were still ugly. We had a 5:15 ADR for dinner and it was now about 4:45. There wasn't really enough time to go do anything else, so I asked if we could check in early and they said yes. We were told to stand on the bridge that leads to the building or by the doors, but not to go inside. And wouldn't you know it, it started to rain again. So everyone waiting was now bunched up by the building trying not to get soaked before dinner.

Pretty soon they opened the doors and invited us to wait inside since it was raining. It was just beautiful inside. Within about 10 minutes we were seated. Right in the main room. Great table by the wall.

Our waitress was great. She explained the menu, offered suggestions, and told us to feel free to get up and walk around and check out the other rooms. She said that the Beast would make his grand entrance very soon and then would be available for pictures in another room after we were done dining.

It looked like it was snowing outside!

DH ordered the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops with vegetables in a puff pastry (recommended by the waitress). I ordered the Rotisserie Cornish Hen with potatoes & vegetables. And both the kids ordered the pasta.

Everything was very good. They brought us out the Grey Stuff for our anniversary. Even though our 15th anniversary was back in May I had noted it on this ADR. And we all ordered cupcakes for dessert! DH got lemon, I got strawberry cream cheese, and the kids both got triple chocolate. Very yummy!

After dinner we went over to visit the Beast!
