:headache:So I have a bit of a picky teen eater! I have us a lunch reservation for Sanaa since we are staying at Kidani Village one afternoon. I know she will love the Naan Bread service, but not so sure about the rest!

If she wanted the kids pizza on the Naan bread or the burger do you think they would let her order it?:o

I am anxious to try the tandoori chicken! Can't wait!:cloud9:

She so odd...She will eat salmon or calamari, but she won't like all the items that come on the tandoori chicken or the burger they serve with the goat cheese.
I wonder if she could get the Tandoori shrimp without the Minted greens, tomatoe and onion?? I personally am excited about Sanaa! Last time hubby and I loved it!

Thanks for any advice...:dogdance:

Anyone can order from the kids menu at Disney as long as the meal is not buffet style. Enjoy!

I'm in my (late!) 40's & dmil in her 80's and we both ate off the children's menu in October.

We shall be doing so again in May -can't wait. :flower:

Yay!! Thanks all...This makes me feel better.....So love Sanaa....We always stay at Jambo house, but it is full and we are currently wait listed, but for now we are in a studio villa at Kidani. Will be our first time staying at Kidani! I really don't mind trying it out, but I will miss Mara right there close by.:guilty:
Wonder if you can get french fries at the pool bar at Kidani??:p We love the fries and flat bread pizza at Mara.:cloud9:

Yes you can order from kids menu.

We have found Sanaa to offer us the absolute best service in all ways, including customizing a meal for DS.
DS is an adult (disabled) and I ordered him the adult burger that at that time they put on naan bread, not bun. We just asked the "toppings" be left off.
Our food took a wee bit longer than normal but we had our bread service and great seat at the window watching the animals so we hardly noticed.
Here comes our food .............. apparently they had called over to Jambo house and had a real bun sent to them.
His burger was a regular burger on a very nice but regular bun.
Back then I don't think they had chips but some other side, I think some veggie salad ... but not his. The chef had personally cut potatoes in wedges and made him french fries.
We were wowed by the server and the chef going to such measures to make him a meal he loved when we were happy to make theirs work.

I get that his disability probably caused them to go the extra mile, but I certainly think if you asked them to adjust, if in their ability they will.

This question comes up a lot and I understand why. All of the Disney kids' menus say something like, "For our guests 9 and under." To my knowledge, every adult who has every tried to order from the kids' menu has been allowed to do so, so it seems that Disney policy is to let anyone order. I wish they would just call it "The picky-eater menu" or "The Small Appetite Menu" or something like that. Maybe they are trying to discourage ordering off the kids menu, but the policy certainly is to allow anyone to order from it. And then there are the dining plan rules about kids' meals . . . .

The kids' menu at Sanaa is great, by the way. The food is delicious and plentiful, it comes with a complimentary drink, and an absolutely gorgeously displayed dessert (some of them sound plain, but the presentation is artistic). My daughter's meals at Sanaa have been beautiful and tasty. I think the Sanaa kids' meals are some of the best deals to be found on property.

Wow! That's wonderful. I'm really glad that they were so accommodating. It sounds like you all had a great experience.

Looking forward to my first visit to AKL. DS:13 is creeped out by the animals & authentic exterior and DS:11 is such a picky eater, he's going to be the problem. Hopefully, between the roaming animals on the savanna and an accommodating menu of food choices, they'll enjoy it as well.
