San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park?

Trying to decide between San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park. My daughter is 4, and my husband and I have already been to the Zoo (10 years ago) so we are considering the Animal Park, but I have heard the Zoo is better for 4-year olds. And we loved the zoo so much, we wouldn't mind going back. Any opinions?

Also, we are planning on visiting Legoland. How much time should we allow if we go on a Saturday and how much time on a weekday. We are planning our trip for the end of August.

It is a tough decision because both places are fantastic, but I vote for the zoo since there is a wider variety of animals. Be prepared for lots of walking or you can take the tram.

Sorry, but I don't know about legoland.

Yep, touch choice. We faced the same and opted for the Wildlife Park. Either would be good though.
If you have not been to the zoo in 10 years, you may want to go there. You will not recognize it.

I just chaperoned a field trip to Legoland on Friday. We were there for 5 1/2 hours and experienced about 2/3 of the park. The crowds were small - mostly schools on field trips. I would plan on a full day during the summer. Park hours are 10 am - 9 pm during August. Here is a link to Legoland :

Both offer a different experience. The animals will be easier to view at the zoo. The park offers Night Time Zoo during the summer. At the zoo, my suggestion is to purchase the deluxe admission which includes entrance into the zoo, a bus tour and the aerial tram ride. The zoo is huge and includes many BIG hills. If you purchase the Kangaroo bus tour package, you can ride the bus around the zoo and "hop on and hop off" at 7 locations. Some areas not to be missed are the Pandas, the Koalas, Tiger River, Polar Bear Plunge, Gorilla Tropics, Hippo Beach, Ituri Forest and Sun Bear Forest.
